there are a lot of people on CC who are suffering in bad marriages, divorces etc . A lot of the threads are started by newbies who are looking for some sort of support but are not getting it in my opinion because it''s all very sporadic. Spmeone comes on wanting to talk and it's all about them. This is understandable but those of us who are going through all this stuff could really benefit from a seperate forum or sub forum so relationships can be built up.....what say you?

i do not know what the figures are like for the UK, but here in the USA i hear numbers batted around of 60-65% divorced within the Christian church! divorce certainly is a major area of concern within the church today. for a group, whom are supposed to be defined by our love, it amazes me that the church is rift with divorce. i am sure there are lots or reasons, books could probably be written on that one!

a forum for those working through divorce issues seems reasonable, if numbers are as i hear....

That is exactly why I am here. I am currently going through a divorce and finding it very difficult to live one day at a time and to know just what I am suppose to do.

hi DoYou
Unfortunately this is not the place to be asking. This part of the forums is for making suggestions on how to add to or improve the site, so you're not going to find much help in this area. Perhaps try posting in the Family section, that's where many of the recent divorce posts are popping up.

I agree with Chip comment about high percentage of divorced cases in US although i don't have the exact figure (don't know what is the reason why chip was banned). For your info, churches here in Malaysa also said that. i personally believe that after sharing with some chatters here in the family forum the reason being;

1) Did not follow God's principles about Marriage.
2) As a result of 1, problem arises and would not seek help to resolve the problem.
3) taking the easy way out---DIVORCE/ABANDON THE MARRIAGE.

I think what is needed now is REPENTENCE and goes back to the basics......What is God's principle on marriage. Because we are living in a sinful word, problems would occur. We need to seek HELP to resolve our problem if we can't solve it ourselves.

I dont care where u post if a brother or sister in Christ needs help im here as Jesus would nvr turn you away who are we to direct them else where, sad to see that the divorce rate for christians is the same as non christinas also ..Satan is attacking our families and we need to stand up and pray for our nations as Satan tries to still our legacy families and so forth we need to be there to ministerto one another and do everything we can to help our sisters and brothers recieve healing ..sorry i went through divorce almost 2 years ah and still hurting from it..

Guiding people to the appropriate area is not 'turning them away'. Its directing them to a place where they have a better chance at getting the help they need.
The forum is split up into categories (family, singles, bible, etc) for a reason. This makes the site easier to use, and getting help simpler and more likely.

Also, i only respond to inquiries for help if i feel that i should. I rarely respond to any divorce posts, no matter where its posted as i often don't feel lead to. If i'd felt i was to try to help here i would have.
Besides, this post is a year old.

It'd be nice if there was a Chat forum for Recently Separated / Divorced to talk with others in similar positions. Please add this.
