So my dog of twelve years died today...and my mother was pretty bummed out and was sure that she would see him in heaven...and as I don't believe animals have souls, I am not sure if or if not so...so do some animals go to heaven? Isaiah has lions laying down with lambs...or not???

Just wondering

God's peace

He was pretty much the best dog ever!!!

I think since there were animals the first time God created the earth and since God is perfect and the same yesterday, today and forever, I think it's safe to think there will be animals after it is recreated again. :)

I know when I've looked in animals eyes there is something there. Whether that is defined as a "soul" or not I don't think matters, but there is something there besides just raw instinct. Whatever that is will return to God, which is where we go too. :)

There is no clear evidence for the notion that animals will exist in the next age.

Humans were created in the image of God. Humans are the focal point of God's work of redemption in Christ.

Humans are promised a resurrection and immortality.

If all dogs go to heaven, then the yappy little dogs from down the street will be there too. Not cool. But by that logic, by little Gypsy wil be there too. That's cool. He was the cutest little furball you ever saw.

If they didn't go to heaven, then I'll asked God if He can give me my dogs back when I am at the heaven.
Will that be cool? :)
Personally, I believe my dogs will be there.

I sure hope so. God did create them.
I'm sorry for your loss, I can't imagine how much pain you are in.
But I know that when my cat died, I'll be devastated!

Sure there will be animals in heaven, but for the ones which die here: Ecc.3:21"...and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth."

Revelation 22:14-15 (NIV)

14 "Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. 15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

I used to work with a man in his late fourties , he has two horses and a dog , and I used to tell him about the lord jesus ,and when this matter of animals was mentioned the man was offended or felt pity for them , you see he is an israeli and as you know sacrifices of animals is mentioned all along the old and the new testament , even when I mentioned the great and ultimate sacrifice of the lord made him furious , what I want to msay is that this issue of animals is still vogue and missunderstood by many, well I pesonally I do'nt fully understand it, sorry...

Hello, Jesus referred to the Gentiles (Non-belivers) as dogs; there will be none of these dogs in the kingdom of heaven.

so very sorry for your loss!! i can't have children and my dogs are like children to me and my husband. we just loss our beloved poddle, coco, we had for 18 years and the thought of never seeing him again tears me apart! like someone else said looking into a dogs eyes there is something there! i just do not know how the Lord could bless us with these animals that we so love and then to lose them and never have them again?!?! i loss my parents and the mourning for them was so different because i KNEW that (THANK THE LORD) they were saved and that i would be with them again then with the loss of my dog I have had a really hard time moving on because i don't know. also I wish people would don't joke about this subject - it is very serious and important to a lot of us! i am 43 years old not a child and i take this subject very serious!

But you see in this verse, is what is just intriguing...

What does it mean that the spirit of the beast goes into the earth??? Is the earth a spiritual substance, that the spirit of the beast can merge with it???

I have been contemplating this lately...
