Yeah, I like computer geeks, cause they are smart, and computer savy! :D About the dating thing, It depends. I don't think that every computer geek looks the exact same. And I think that picture up there is out dated compared to today's geeks. In fact, I know a couple of computer geeks and some of them dressed pretty well, and keep themselves together. It is possible to be a computer geek, and look good you know.

Do they actually write programs, know how to hide files in jpegs, hack into websites, overclock CPU's, crack passwords, etc... if not, they aren't really computer geeks, just computer savvy.

Well, my Bear is the biggest nerd in the world when it applies to computers, computer games and video games, and oddly I think it's adorable. Lol
I guess it just depends on the girl.

so ppl dont freek out or ask me to "hack into a ex bf/gf computer"(this happens all the time) YES i can hack into your/someones computer/server...etc and NO i will NOT under any circumstance hack into anything without prior written permission from the owner of the device
"hacking" or "cracking" is a federal offense in the U.S. and i believe (depending on the severity of the damage caused) the punishment is from 5 to 20 years in prison and if the damage was on a goverment server/computer/device...etc it is classified as terrorism

Depending on what type of "geek". Me myself could be considered a geek in some aspects. I like videogamees, and not just Mario videogames. I like "boy" videogames and some computer games, even though I don't actually have computer games haha. I like Harry Potter books, and well, a lot of books.
Maybe I don't "look geek" but I like some geek stuff. I could like a geek guy, but depending on "how geek" he is. If he likes videogames and books , and it's not over obsessed, that's great for me :).

carlie

But you're a computer geek army ranger. You can hack people in more ways than one! (and I say that with the utmost respect) You represent only about .0000001 % of all the computer geeks out there. I have a cousin who is a total computer geek. He makes a living writing programs for companies and he does own a nice pistol that he takes to the range, but he spends 99% of his time behind his keyboard. He's makes a good living, drives a nice car, but he almost never has a girlfriend and when he has free time he spends it watching movies or collecting stuff like star trek stuff. I don't think he's ever excercised once in his life! lol. I think he represents a good percentage of the computer geeks out there.

ok i will say that you have a point but what i was trying to say was the days of the pocket protector and coke bottle glasses are long gone (thank god) basically i was saying that the mental picture of a geek/nerd that every one gets is no longer accruate
