Do Not Fall Away After Tasting the Power of God
...
God’s word is active. Hence we shouldn’t just listen to the Word through our ears only, but let the Word enter us and be active. People rejoice briefly when they are prosperous in the world, and are quick to despair and doubt God because they don’t rely on the word of God. What the Holy Spirit does when He comes is to remind us of the word which God has spoken through Jesus Christ, help us to understand and fulfill that word. Thus whoever desires to experience the working of the Holy Spirit must first have the word of God.
