I'll bet McConnell is "reelected" this November.
If that occurs it will be sending the message that his constituents are so unconscious and indifferent to his infirmity and inability to serve that,when they enter the election booth they merely hit the button by the name they're familiar with. Unconcerned of their future they just put in the hands of a feeble minded man.

I don't believe that though.
I don't think we elect anyone. I think we're let to believe we do.

We need a convention of states under article V .

Term limits, age limits, and a balanced budget requirement. I would also add an end to the 16th and 17th amendments. I think the 24th and 26th amendments needs to be looked at again.

Congress won't do this on its own.

Just my opinion.

I think the 26th amendment should be rescinded in its entirety.

What specifically do you take issue with in the other amendments you listed?

Term limits can be installed except for one tiny issue. The Constitution has to be amended to that end by a 2/3rds vote of the Congress we would be asking to limit.

What? You mean after 8 years, we'd have to work for a living and under the laws we passed for everybody else?😆

I write 16th,I post,I come back, it reads 26th.

I think one of the greatest cons perpetrated upon this Republic is that which convinced us,we do choose our leaders and representatives.

16th amendment is the thing that started the process of turning our money into monopoly money. It has given the federal government too much power over us.

17th amendment took power away from the states in my opinion. The state legislature should appoint senators as the constitution originally stated.

24th amendment should be rewritten to say that if you receive any type of government aid, you can't vote. Maybe this should be a completely new amendment instead.

26th amendment should say that unless you're in the military, you can't vote until your 21. From what I see and hear, maybe that should be raised to 25?
There should be an upper age limit as well. Maybe at 65 or 67?
