So 99% Christians believe we are in the last days [from personal surveys]


So what I want to know is (to folks who believe they are in the last days) what are they supposed to be doing?

They tell me, "We're watching....and praying"
And by watching , it means sending links to some possibly apocalyptic RFID thing.

Have you packed an emergency medical bag in case you need to suddenly be on the run?

Are you planning to grow your own food crops? (I've heard contingency plans that involved self sufficient agriculture)

Are you supposed to be paranoid or are you supposed to not get weary of doing good?

So y'all let me know what you're doing kindly :) I need ideas :D (and maybe you get to introspect a little.)

People have thought that they were in the last days for 2000 years. We won't be in the end times until the antichrist makes his appearance.

I believe we are living in end times. You'll get a diverse spread of opinion with regard to this question. Some feel the Bible is allegory, full of symbols but I beleive that whenever possible one should take the Word of God literally. Therefore I watch what is happening to Israel. A bottom line to Revelation is Jesus coming back to fight a battle and judge nations attacking Israel, the Millenium and the judgement of individuals. Then a variety of opinions regarding if and when the rapture of those who follow Christ happens or doesn't. Personally, I'm not storing canned food and dried goods. (God doesn't pour His Wrath on His children) :) It's a good thing that you want to learn, Rachel20, God gives wisdom to those who seek it.
 
If a powerful person like the president of the United States walks into a building there is generally respectful silence and atention owing to the power such a person commands. God is sovereign, ruler over all of his creation and deserves more than that. I'm pretty sure there are tons of people who, were God to tell them he was coming back today would live their lives just a bit differently at the very least. Me? I live my life as best I can, praying that his will be done and that if I'm to be used for his will and his glory that he show me how. I am not focused on the new world order, the Antichrist or the false proffit, or any other movement that may or may not occur as the result of God's perfect plan. I'm focused on God's salvation through his son Jesus Christ, his love and mercy and glory, his power and his kingdom, and as far as I'm concerned, that's really the only thing that should matter to any God fearing person in this world. Is it instructive and a blessing to read and keep the words of the book of revelation? Yes, but the focus again should not be on the events to come, but on the end, for in the end God and his people win.

I do believe we are quickly approaching, but whatever our motto should be the same...

We have been in the last days since the Ascension...The last days is not a set period of days for us to go through.Christ will come back. Judgment will occur. Then it's over. Shazzam.

There are four things that kill tribulation SAINTS....

So what are you doing to prepare?

Contrary to popular belief...the Lord's churches will go through the great tribulation so as to purify Israel along with the Lord's Churches!

I agree and will add...warn the wicked of their ways as well as the disobedient believers of what is to come!....God turns men to destruction and expects them to REPENT!

Well John the Baptist was saying that too.

That message remains the same. The gospel hasn't changed. There isn't anything extra that we need to preach or is there, (if you feel so)?

We are called to preach/proclaim and teach the whole council of God...unfortunately most of the bible gets rejected/overlooked and not taught!

Do what you are supposed to be doing all along. God never meant us to crawl into some cave and wait. Christ gave a parable to address what we should do 'til the master returns in the 19th chapter of Luke: "Occupy till I come".
Business as usual. Keep trying to spread the gospel and save souls 'til you can't breathe.

The signs point that His coming is imminent. But while we need to be prepared, we ought to live as Christ taught us irrespective of when He comes.

what are you doing?:
1. Daily Bible reading
2. Daily prayers
3. Say my thanks every day (am trying to be 100% daily :p)
4. Lift some weights (once or twice a week)
5. Be nice to people.
6. Appreciate babies.
7. Feed the cats.
8. Watch FIFA World Cup matches.
7. Facebook-ing
8. Stalk people's profiles
9. Nag the single girls in CC
10. Watch drama series
11. Read mangas
12. Attempt jokes when chatting on CC
13. Try to understand people and their characters
14. Ignore suspicious people on CC
15. Reading threads posted but ignore the long ones.
16. Laugh at peoples stupdity on Youtube.
17. Disliking rude comments.
18. Trying to love my enemies.
19. Sleep when I'm tired.
20. Do the laundry.
21. Cook rice.
22. Play the guitar.
23. Listening to christian music since secular music is not allowed.
24. Cut my hair when it's long.
 
Training my butt off.

Doing Martial Arts to be able to protect my family and friends.

Repenting and trying to be as Holy as possible in order to be on Good terms with God.

Lastly, doing research to keep up to date on whats going on so Im not surprised so to speak.

Basically, Spritual, Physical, and Mental training.
 
Live like Christ is returning any minute, work like it will be a thousand years or more.
 
i really don't know if we are in the last day's but it would be nice. this world has really gone to the dogs, just in my lifetime. i can't imagine what it will be like in another 50 years. i'm doing the same thing i've been doing for 33 years, being ready. have seen the end come and go a few times, biggest let down the year 2000, i thought this was it for sure, then 2001 came and thought, well maybe its because of the jewish and american calender being of in years. i've learned to be patient realizing a lot of lost brothers and sisters are still out there to be found, and that God won't be late He will be right on time.
 
Who's gonna be the first to admit they're doing nothing?
I can say I feel I don't do much, but then again I'm in the process of renewing my mind into believe its not about doing things FOR God but co-labouring with Him. Raising a boy in the way of the Lord I guess is doing something
