Do you enjoy being single?

I love being single, I do exactly the same stuff that I do when Im in a relationship with someone. But I also dont have to put up with the whining when I forget to text them for a few hours because Im on a frape train on CoD.
 
you do the same stuff as single? So.. what if your "other" is not into the stuff you like..and you hate the stuff she likes...what's the compromise?
 
I have mixed feelings about it. While it's a little easier to make certain decisions about my life right now without having to take someone else into consideration, I often wish I had someone to discuss those decisions with. But I do like my life.
 
Its great to have someone there to go through the battle of life with. But it is a sacrifice of freedom and time. I get much more accomplished single then I do when I have to spend time out of my day devoted to someone.
Or it may be because of my bad time management =P
 
I don't enjoy it at all. It's hard to being single. I've never dated in my live. Genesis 2:18a says

I've being single all my life. But sometimes I want to share with a special girl, even pray together, read the bible. Etc.
 
Marriage is wonderful .... It is more than just a couple getting married ... marriage teaches a lot of things ... when your wife or husband doesn't meet the conditions that you like to live ... you will learn then how you would give an unconditional love ... and I think marriage is in where you share the things that you worship God for ... unconditional love .. mercy .. humbleness ... in addtion of being the leader as a husband ( provider ) .... and Proverbs 31 as a wife :) ! ... I can somewhat relate with what Jullianna had posted.

I find that being single allows me to serve God with everything I could possibly give. There are those days where I will step out in faith and God will use me or use the surroundings to aid me in whatever it is I do. I used to try experiments on myself to see what "Loving thy neighbour as much as yourself" will bring. And when it came to that, going the extra mile was something that was unavoidable. And I accepted that task. God always provided or intervened. It was always never too much that I could handle either. Even if the task seemed a bit impossible. It was as if God took that extra mile on Himself after I pushed myself to go forward from the point of struggling. I dunno... God ALWAYS surprises me.

I feel exactly the same way.
 
I'm with Jullianna about this.

But I am very tired of cooking just for myself and eating take out is getting old as well. And I wouldn't mind the problem of arguing about what movie to watch at night.
 
I enjoy being single. Why: Because I realize it is better to, "savor/enjoy the life you have, then to look back or forward with regrets or longing." Life is so short I try to be balanced and "intentional" in everything I do.

I also know the fulfillment of being married and know that I will be content in the situation God has for me.
 
I love being single!
During my last relationship I noticed it takes a lot of time and other things to sacrifice, like hanging around with friends. I'm very attached to my freedom.
 
I enjoy every minute of it for now after being in relationships that don't work. i would rather be single.

Agreed. I actually miss that. I usually cook for two anyways (with my son and all) but I some times wish I could cook for 3 and talk. Not have a "Does that taste good lil' man?" or "NO! Don't spit that out on the floor!!!" conversation...
 
If I get hungry for a certain thing that you just can't cook for one, I try to make in on a night I know my son will be home so I know with certainty there will be NO LEFTOVERS. He doesn't eat. He inhales. haha But, if something happens and he's not there, I will take some to my elderly neighbor who lives alone and has the same problem. :) She reciprocates by bringing me dumplings when she makes them. I have yet to master dumplings. I may have to surrender my GRITS (Girls Raised in the South) card if I don't get it down. :)
 
Well, I'm enjoying being single. Actually I'm used to it now and I guess it would be a major move and change for me to be in a relationship. I am my own boss at the moment and am used to making my own decisions and not having to check in with the other person..


Sounds totally selfish doesn't it?
 
Being single has its pros and cons ,but ultimately I'm ready and praying to start a family soon. I want to be able to raise a family with the Christian values that I now have and didn't grow up with. I know being married to the right person must be amazing. I think God wants us to experience marriage, because marriage is a symbolism of our relationship with Christ. In a marriage you become one with your partner/ as we too become the body in Christ Jesus.
