I am disabled, can't do much until my back heals. No one comes, or calls, and I rarely hear from those on Facebook. Have CC though, and I am humble!

The only reason I socialize with people is because of school and jrotc people never shush for some reason.
And someone is ALWAYS asking me a question about "can we do this with our uniform?" "when is this due?" "What did this teacher say a week ago?"

Bleh.

My socializing comes from work. I socialize with co-workers while at work and as long as I have a handful of people at work that I get along with, I am just fine and don't feel lonely ever. I don't talk to those people outside of work.

Yes, outside of the internet I learn about how many people don't like everything around them. My friends remind me that they can't hold a conversation if it contains more than 100 words.

I mainly don't have a social life besides work, church or posting on here, because I can't find anywhere to go to,to hang out at all, here where I live in Knoxville Tennessee, there are nothing but gas stations and stores, nowhere to just chat at,and for all those that may suggest a coffee place, forget it,I can't stand coffee it makes me gag from just the smell of it,I keep wanting to socialize in the "Real" world but there really isn't anywhere suitable to go,about the only options besides stores, churches or libraries,is a bowling place but I am epileptic so pins clanging would get on my nerves when trying to talk,it really is sad that this generation has become so focused on technology and being commercial that we no longer have any good places to go that are decent,if anyone suggests bars or hooters, forget it,those places have alcohol and suggestive themes, like I said sad, noone really in this day and age seem to want to have "actual" interaction at all, everyone wants...movie theaters shopping malls, countless random stores and restaurants/fast food places, wonder if anyone will ever create a place to just go to for socializing, sigh,I'll be waiting a long time I suppose!

Wow, nobody socializes? Now I feel out of place, like I wore a suit and tie to a party and everybody else came in faded, patched jeans. =^.^=

In my family we like to get together. We usually use a meal as an excuse, and we do have some good cooks in my family, but the real objective is sitting around and talking a while. I don't do much talking at family dinners, but I enjoy listening.

I also enjoy hanging around at church happenings. I usually wind up doing something like changing the trash or running the sound booth but I'm with a group of people that are good natured and enjoy being around each other.

(Of course, with family and friends alike, it probably helps that most of my family and friends are nuttier than squirrel droppings. Probably how they tolerate me.) :p

I'm working on having some sort of actual social life, but that's kind of difficult when you don't like strangers or socializing for the sake of socializing. I have a job where I have to be on the phone with people a lot so I'm getting good at going on plesantries auto pilot, I'll talk to my co-workers a bit if it's slow, work with my brother so we're talking on the work IM quite a lot, and have a monthly board game group I go to. Also end up at my parent's house at least monthly between holidays, family events, or just wanting to do free laundry and catch up on the current Doctor who season. Looking forward to starting with a weekly improv comedy group / workshop next week too and hoping I'll enjoy it. Also have a couple friends on the other side of the world that I video chat with fairly regularly, which seems a step up from group discussions on the internet. I'm not very good at this socializing thing, but I've got to try, I'm going to need friends to help me move sometime in the future and playing just one player games is pretty limited.

I still live at home so I socialize with family daily but I don't spend much time with my friends anyone. More than once a month but less than once a week. This last year has been difficult and I'd rather spend time alone.

Social life is confusing. What does socialising mean?
I say this as for me I have a friend. I may meet this friend once or twice a year. Is that socialising?
Generally my nature is I am happy avoiding people as I'm not someone who is a partying type. For me I would love to enjoy a beach with a friend then to cram into a building with others for a party. That is not so appealing.
