While I was as the park yesterday, an elderly gentleman was fishing. I asked him if he caught anything, which open the door to some more conversation. Just a lot of small talk. Then his friend showed up. And somehow politics came into the conversation. That was when everything started getting interesting. I asked them which candidate will do the better job of being the president of the United States? Trump, Hillary, or Sanders.
They didn't like none of them! They were pretty much set in their ways, and I'm too getting set my ways as well.
I'm personally a Trump man, and I was giving my reasons for being a Trump man, and they were giving me their reasons why they didn't trust any of them for being president. And that started me thinking. How many other people are burnt out on voting, due to all the crooked politicians that we have in this country? How much government do we actually need? How much does the government unnecessary control us? How do you get the proper Balance in the government that is in the United States? And without government, would we have a state of anarchy?
Anybody care to comment on this?

A nation gets the political leadership it deserves. If the people are degenerate, corrupt and have abandoned Biblical standards for life then they get corrupt leadership who destroy their freedom. The constitution has balance built into it, but as we are seeing everyday, those in power are ignoring the law and doing whatever they like to gain more power and impose their own insane philosophy on the country. This country desperately needs a revival and a return to humility and respect for God. When the people abandon God, God abandons the people to the consequences of their corruption.

Yup--I'm officially "burnt out" from voting.

It's a sad state of affairs.

Time to focus on being a citizen of Heaven as opposed to a citizen of Earth...

...for me, anyway.

I love to vote. I vote almost every year, and I mean year -- not merely the big elections. I've voted for the lesser of two evils often enough. This won't be like that. There is no lesser. So, I'll still vote. I simply won't vote for the ones with the buttons for President. I still need to vote for a Senator, and I know my city will come up with some ballot question I'll need to vote against. (Usually against, because they keep wanting us to pay more taxes to fund some failed-before-it-starts pet project.)

It's not burn out. It's horrible choices.

And, I keep wondering if the not-Americans on this site think we're all nuts, like the whole world cares that our election is coming up in FIVE months, but we've been talking about it for a year now. lol

I think people are fed up with politicians saying this and that, getting the presidency and then leave office and nothing changed.

Then the cycle starts all over again

I think that thats why they like Trump, because he Is an outsider, but when he says he can shoot someone and not lose any support,I then hope people come to their senses.

BTW,Trump and his supporters do a lot of deflecting.

Apparently they're not fed up with it. Most of the primaries are done. America chose these idiots out of a large list, so we're not as fed up as I wish we were. I think most Americans may just like saying they're fed up, given we haven't had someone truly worth noting to vote for since the 80's.

And it has changed. It's getting worse and worse.

As a sports town, Philly has a very bad reputation. We've pelted Santa and Jimmy Johnson with ice balls, have thrown popcorn and full cans of beer on many players, and even our own mascots, and yet, the vast majority of Philadelphia sports fans think that's horrible. A few idiots doesn't really make it credible that everyone who backs someone is an idiot too.

It all sounds familiar, it's the same over here.

I just wish there was a box for "none of the above" I'm sure that would get the
most votes. Maybe then the politicians would really get a true picture of what
people think.
