I believe in justice. I do not think it is just to force women to submit to their husbands, or prohibit women from speaking in church. I think the Lord probably feels the same way.

I think if you read 1 timothy 2 after the usurping authority of a man part is examined you will come the conclusion(if you are unbaised) that the scripture as is is supported by the context. All the qualitifications for the leadership positions are clearly directed towards man. Husband of one wife, etc.

And actually yes, it does talk about submitting yourself to men who aren't you husband. It says to submit yourselves to one another.

In I Timothy 2:8, Paul says that he want all men to pray, without anger or division. In I Timothy 2:9, he writes that likewise woman, without overly showiness of dress, but with good works. The point is that there is no verb in this statement. It is a parallel passage. He is instructed women how they ought to pray. His emphasis is seemliness, proper behavior for both men and women. He continues as he speaks of women not having authority over men. He addresses the issue as a matter of seemliness.
As for the instructions in Chapter 3, he addresses women in verse 11. The big question is whether he is supplementing the instructions, placing higher standards for women in leadership, or specifically stating standards for deaconesses.
A final issue is that there were two sets of offices in the NT church: those of ministry and those of authority. The only shared office of both ministry and authority was the apostle.

This is a very good point.

If ever we see a bible verse we don't like, and try to negotiate with it and get around it somehow, claiming that we know the true and original intent of the author, we better be very sure that the 'benefit' of going against the verse in favour of our own interpretation is worth the risk that comes with disobeying God's word.

Obviously, as these verses show, both women and men will enjoy salvation through God's great plan of redemption. And the Holy Spirit has seen fit to pour out gifts (for example prophecy), on both women and men. But Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, who received revelation from Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit, has made it clear, that women WILL NOT be in positions of authority over men, in the church of God.

Christianity is equality, just look how Jesus treated women.. that would have been a scandal on its own right in 1st century Palestine. However, who's equality do you want to follow, God's? or modern liberal feminism?

When someone says, "God does not call women to preach," it is like saying that God does not baptize with the Holy Spirit today. We know better, because we have witnessed and experienced it with our own ears and eyes.
I would be afraid to condemn women preachers, lest I would be found to be fighting against God, and to be committing the vile sin of attributing the works of the Holy Spirit to the devil.

Does prophesying, whether by male or female, make one a pastor?

The gift of prophecy did not make one a pastor. The term pastor is equal to shepherd and is another term describing the role of the elders and/or bishops.

pastor/shepherd = poimein
elder/older man = presbuteros
bishop/overseer = episkopos
