Back in the day I knew how to two step, country waltz, swing, and I knew the steps to around 200 different line dances. I actually ran an outreach ministry with country and western dance lessons and dance nights the carrot. I've since forgotten almost everything and rarely even listen to music anymore.
the carrot?

Yes?
What kind of dancing do you do and where?
Are you allowed to dance in your church?
Who do you dance with?
Have you ever had dancing lessons, or do you just know what to do?
no. i can't dance worth crumbs.

holy heavens!

Confessions of a 'Holy Roller'...in church or at home I'm in Heaven when I dance before the Lord like David did. Only with clothes on though. I also work out to fast beat Christian songs 💃🙌🙌🙌.

Am thinking of doing Zumba again but only if I can drag a friend along with me...

Yes! I love dancing.

These days I only dance at home. I dance while I'm cooking, cleaning or just because a good song comes on. When my kids were little, they used to dance with me. Now I usually dance by myself while my teenagers look at me like, "Mom... what are you doing?"

To me, dancing is one of the best kinds of exercise because it's just fun.

In Finland, dancing isn't really part of the traditional Evangelical Lutheran church service. Our churches are usually much more reserved than many churches in the U.S. and our hymns don't exactly make you want to get up and dance.

I've never had dance lessons. I just dance because I enjoy it.

I think God gave us music to enjoy and sometimes it's hard not to move when you hear a good song.

We had a live band yesterday for Matariki (its Maori New Year) celebration so got to have a boogie.

When I had Bible in Schools, I had a small class, of year 3-4s and we always had a song, it was Gods Love. so we danced to that. I made up a dance that involved spinning around until you were dizzy.

Yea I just enjoy it, whenever I hear good music I dance.

Most formal dance lessons are lost on me. Partner dances where I have to remember steps, or perfomance dancing where I have to keep in time with everyone else . I just can't seem to do, I mean its amazing to watch but its hard work! Choreography and keeping up with others forget it. And I tried all kinds..ballet, ceroc, step hip hop, contemporary, capoeria, tango, waltz, salsa, line dancing.. Plus you have to pay! (to have dance lessons)

Dancing ought to be easy and free.

I haven't been in any churches where you are actually allowed to really dance. You are usually just meant to stand up in the pew and at most wave your hands in the air and sway a little without crashing into the person beside you.
