I have read that this tea will cure everything even cancer, and I also read that it is a poison and we must not drink it. Check MedMD, a site even my doctor uses.

I read that it is made from the leaves of a common weed found many places and the pictures of this weed look to me like wild Rhododendron, and I read that the leaves of Rhododendron are very poisonous.

I don’t find places to buy these leaves, except once on eBay for $5.00 an ounce, a site that isn’t there anymore.

Anyone out there who knows the truth about this tea with all the different names?

This might help you. http://plants.usda.gov/plantguide/pdf/cs_legr.pdf

There are many species of native rhododendron in North America - Labrador tea being one of them. JARS v37n3 - The Species of Rhododendron Native to North America

Labrador tea grows rampant in my neck of the woods and I only tried tea from the leaves once. A very similar deadly plant, sheep laurel is easily confused with Labrador tea. The flowers of Labrador tea are white, sheep laurel flowers are pink, and the underside of Labrador tea leaves are hairy while sheep laurel ones are smooth.

better stick to the herbal tea that is sold in grocery stores, rather than trying out something you know nothing about. I've also heard that rhododendren is poisonous so be careful. :)

All of the people that know the truth about this poisonous tea are probably dead. I am a coffee drinker so I should be OK. Of course cigarettes are poisonous too so maybe I am not OK if I continue in my addiction. That is the truth.
