It started when we felt something's wrong is happening to the world economy. Stocks declining, major businesses faced bankruptcy, banks are aching, another depression has happened again. Remember when the US economy suffered its 1st Great depression in the late 20's then it wasn't the last time when another crisis started again in the 70's. Then today President Obama has stepped in vowing to neutralize and bring back the economy into shape. It seems that the economy is slowly recovering and is expected to jump to 3% and we're slowly getting back while on the other hand, H1N1 virus has come out from nowhere. Does God have somehting to tell us?Are these already signs by him? What do you think?

All these adversities are definetly signs of the end times just as the bible stated, but this is only the beginning...it's going to get worse before Christ come.

I'd say it's a sign that people should learn from history and stop being irresponsible with the economy with stupid policies. //cents.

Kakashi,

Amen! Most of what is going on with regard to the economy is because of the stupidity of people, politicians, and pundits. Americans from the government on down are living off of borrowed money, buying everything on credit.

The media also likes to hype things including every new disease that comes along, esp. if its cure puts money in someone's pocket.

I agree with both of you. Couldnt this be similar to the hardening of pharaoh's heart? If he had only let the Israelites go out to the desert to worship for a couple of days (since that's what they were asking for in the beginning), everything would have been ok. If we only change a few things, we can probably help reduce many of these problems, but maybe we, as a human race, have become so hardened that we dont want to "let the Israelites go". The world is going to end up suffering ALOT.

I think God got mad when the USA (in particular, and other countries too, the EU etc), decided to do their own thing, and save the world themselves. Well, I've never heard Obama say "God help us", honestly, instead of a cliche or catchphrase. Apparently he will save the economy and save America and the world. God puts every leader in charge of every country, but He does and will bring down leaders who do not acknowledge Him as God. Like Nebuchudnezzar.

Which is why I tell people. no matter how much you dislike or disagree with an administration...PRAY!! pray for them that they'll make good decisions. I'm not a fan of Obama of McCain, but who our president is was set in place by God, and therefore we should respect him and pray that he does well, or all our gooses be cooked ya know? Economically speaking that is...

so you're saying that these are just consequences from what we've done in the past?

I can see the logic from the Bible to our present day that maybe we have something to do that we haven't yet realized and because of that, God is showing signs to us that he truly exist and how powerful he is. I think misery cannot be removed from this world but if we're with him, we'll definitely be saved from evil.

I have one more question, do you think US is unfair that's why God is showing signs to them?Well we all know that the US are peacemakers in this planet and they've done a lot of good things to this world but despite of that, they've also done something wrong

Certainly not, I'm saying it's consequences of us not learning from the past! The past and history are here to show us what we did right and wrong, and then learn from it. However, we in fact punish ourselves by not learning from our past mistakes. The U.S ( and lots of places0 are bad at that.

Something else i find disturbing, when scott and I purchased our house like 4 years ago, of course they base all this on your credit. Well, I was always taught by my dad you pay cash for everything, if you cant afford it that way, it isnt needed. So, after learning money management , making mistakes, and learning, a couple years prior to buying, I took his advice to heart, and it was cash or no go. I figured the only thing i needed debt for was a home. this almost caused me to not get the house cause I had No credit!!!! Its like they gripe about ppl livin off borrowed money, yet, if your responsible, and show you pay your own way....well then you have none, and therefore cant buy anything! After much prayer, and showing job stability and responsibility, I got the house. They actually told me believe it or not, the more debt you have, the more credit you get, which was mind boggling to me. Why would any sane person want debt they couldnt afford? I totally agree with you kakashi I think it is not learning from past mistakes, and learning to be happy with what God blesses us with instead of what we think were entitled to.

ahh i got your point! but i think GOD intended to do these to show us our mistakes in the past so it's meant to happen set up by GOD so that we may learn from it and i agree with you that sadly we're not still able to learn from it!

It's never too late to learn from history until He shows up. Why? cause we have no idea when that will be?
