Does the church ignore single Christians? Where are we supposed to go?!?

Ever think that manual labour was the reason people didn't succumb to obesity in the past? or that taking the time to plan and prepare wholesome and nutritious meals made from scratch that were not full of salt, sugar, preservatives or processed food was the reason people had far fewer health issues in the past?

Has it ever ocured that maybe the 21st century is in a crisis because satan has worked over the years to make jobs obsolete to get women out of the house, make men unemployed, so he can steal kids, destroy families, and raise corrupt leaders that would destroy the blessing God used to bestow upon nations and prevent men from becoming pastors to guide nations morally and ethicaly?

mm no, but that's probably just your christian perspective you have been taught.
I mean not everyone can live like the Amish or Mennonites.
 
I am going to make banana bread. Those bananas won't eat themselves, and there are too much of them, if I don't use them they will go rotten, and I hate eating black, mushy bananas.

Well actually, I was raised secular non christian, I converted to Baptist at the age of 20, I spent only 3 months living in a Mennonite Community when I was hired to watch a farm while the guy went on a mission trip.

Ok but you probably picked it up from the Mennonites lifestyle.
I went wwooffing with some fundamentalist type Christian family who had escaped out of Pentecostal church. The dad barred me from mentioning speaking in tongues.
The children were not allowed to use the internet, or watch any non-christian movies. The couple had 11 children, ten girls and one boy. They were nice...but different.
None of them were obese, because it was a stock farm and the girls were out everyday feeding the cattle and changing the fences. I got to ride a quad bike.
They fed me home cooked meals and read from the Daily Light.

I probably did, whats wrong with sticking to something that works. oh ok, good rule, kids shouldn't use technology until they learn to use their brain. Ahh see they had physical labour to keep them occupied and busy. Nice, I love home cooked meals.

Nothing wrong except you must have land to live out in the countryside.
A lot of people don't have land anymore, and it's expensive, unless you've inherited it.
Also people have been dispossesed of land during the civil wars, and only allowed the worst parts they can't farm to sustain themselves.
Thus that is why people live in cities. And there are more jobs that pay.
Farming can be back breaking work, it's 24/7. You can't escape from it. If you want to have a day off (especially looking after animals, you must do twice the work the day before) You can never have a holiday. High suicide rate amongst farmers especially if they can't find the workers/cant' afford to pay them.
 
I think I would have liked to grow up on farm...keep sheep, chickens, a few pigs, cats, horses. Organic veges.
But small holding is no longer. It's all corporate conglomerates now and coops. Dairy farming is automated, but you still need to get up everyday at 4am to milk the cows and oversee the milking shed.
It's not idyllic unless you have serious money.
 
People still had health issues in past because poverty. Malnutrition is one. Famine. TB. Cancer has always been present. Its just worse now people are living longer.

Obesity is more a superabundance problem the US mostly has. Kuwait too because oil bought them all the American imported fast foods. Frozen tv dinners.
Tongans..were obese because they started eating lamb flaps that NZ didn't want. Now its been banned from import but they still love their canned corned beef. Before all that, they would have fished and grown their own, but again, risk of famine, malnutrition if crops had a bad year. So its swings and roundabouts...you got to have a healthy middle.

I love the country life, I know abolish private property and you abolish human rights,
Modern living is contrary to biblical living because the Bible says every man should have his own land and his own cistern.

I know, I spent 3 months in a Mennonite community and saw farming life during that time.
maybe that is the problem people abandoning Gods way of doing things. We were never meant to work 24/7 365/year without rest, hence why God gave us the Sabbath Day, animals will not die if they don't eat for one day.

I can see that, we have placed a burden on modern farmers that they were never meant to carry.
 
I was invited to a Passover dinner on Good Friday by my friend and her husband. So I'm not ignored.

Jewish people always invited strangers to dinner at Passover to celebrate with them. Kinda like Christmas. Except with the Exodus story. It's exciting to act out the 10 plagues with food.

Ok I'm surprised that people don't know or aren't aware, the church has always done fasting. For 40 days, before the Lord's Day (when He was resurrected).
It's only then that you are allowed to have what you fasted, in a lot of homes, it's chocolate...but it could be other things.

Passover was the feast of unleavened bread. So you could only eat pancakes or crackers. Read Exodus to find out. Jesus was crucified at Passover. He represented the lamb and the blood on the doorpost.

It is my favourite time of year. I may not be Hebrew or Jewish or Israeli...but for all intents and purposes, I am part of Jesus family and we continue to celebrate what His ancestors went through..until He returns in the New Jerusalem.

If you know, you know.

Are singles ignored in the church? Was Jesus ignored because he was unmarried? Well if He'd been married, do you think He could have ever done his ministry? Or would he have been at home, pleasing his wife? And children.

T'was good.
My friend came, her hubby was unwell, so she sat next to me and I also sat next to the guy that managed the Christian bookstore.
They had a children's table, but I'm a grown up and not a babysitter/nanny so didn't sit with them this time (as sometimes happens in church)
We had a lot of food. We had the 10 plagues to get through!
