Does the Holy Spirit convict the born again believer of sin?

Did Jesus say that when the Comforter comes he will convict the world of sin because they believe not on me?
The Holy Spirit convicts the world.
John 16:8
"And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:"
For those that are in Christ, there is no condemnation.
Romans 8:1
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

I have come to the conclusion that sin is not the issue because Jesus has paid for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD......the issue is faith..........a believer is placed into the positioning of grace....Jesus stands nonstop mediating for us and the following applies....
In the GRACE you are having been saved out of faith
and
We have access by faith into this grace wherein we now stand
Where sin abounds, grace did much more abound......
Shall we continue in sin since grace abounds....God forbid
The grace of God is preemptive in a believer and bounds ahead of our sin before we sin or as we sin.....this does not give license to live a life of rebellion, but allows a believer to be usable by God and allows us to enter God's presence by prayer and boldness to obtain help in time of need......amongst other things.

The born again believer is not being convicted of sin because Jesus Christ was crucified for the forgiveness of sin.
1 John 2:2
"And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."
Sin is no longer the issue between man and God.
Of course the Holy Spirit convicts his people of their sin. Psalm 51:4. The Scriptures are replete with examples of God convicting his people of their sins.
That has been stated twice in this thread....The Holy Spirit convicting the world of sin because they believe not on me.
The penalty of unbelief in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and refusing the free gift of salvation that the Holy Spirit offers (Himself) is that you will remain dead in your tresspasses. (Spelling?)
I was going to use David as an example of God's hand being heavy upon him and his bones roaring all the night long......obviously David sinned before the debt had been covered by Christ and under the covenant of law which deemed death for his sin........could that have had bearing upon his conviction?
I see that there is a lot of legalism in the churches where they say the Holy Spirit is still convicting born again believers of their sin still. But the pure grace of God set me free from this false doctrine with the renewing of my mind and casting down this imagination.
When you walk in the Spirit, with eyes planted on God and His righteousness (which is imputed to us through His son) you start to turn away from sin, and toward Him and the fulness of His love.
He will continually guide you back if you fall away, with love and prompting and I believe sometimes chastisement, but conviction implies an impending penalty, that penalty was already paid.
David was as born again as you or I. All OT saints were saved in the same manner, thus the rebuke of Nicodemus by Christ for his ignorance of this fact.
Of course all of our sins are under the blood, but this doesn't negate the sensitivity of the Spirit when we do sin, and our subsequent guilt or conviction for that sin. If any believer says they have never felt this, then there is a problem.
What I do see is that a born again believer is convicted of righteousness to serve righteousness, abstain from sin, and confess the righteousness of Christ in spreading the gospel. After all the accusation God has towards the born again believer is the righteousness of Christ imputed to that born again believer.
