“We both had dreams,” they answered, “but there is no one to interpret them.” Then Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams.” --Gen. 40:8

The Bible tells us that dreams are significant because God uses them to speak to us sometimes. One reason He speaks to us through dreams is to call us to pray. Here is a step-by-step procedure to begin praying based on your dreams:

1. Before you drift off to sleep, ask God to give you dreams only from Him.
2. After you awaken, write down your dream. Be sure to include every person, every emotion, and symbols.
3. Ask God to help you interpret it.
4. Look for symbols in the dream. Use a Christian dream dictionary if necessary. Here is one: Christian Dream Dictionary: Created for Christians given spiritual dreams and a different one: Christian Dream Symbols Dictionary. (The dictionaries were based on Biblical symbols.)
5. Pray into the emotions, people, and symbols shown in the dream.

Sample:
Dream: I tried to go upstairs, but I could not because this giant shadowy hand of the devil was holding me down.
Symbols: STEPS - Signs of spiritual progress.
Prayer: Lord, I pray Satan would not impede my spiritual progress but You would make my walk easy for You have said "my burden is easy and my yoke is light." Thank You, Lord. In Christ's Name, Amen.

It may sound complicated, but it is very simple.

ALWAYS use discernment. Do not do anything or pray for anything if it does not agree with the Bible.
ALWAYS use Christian dream dictionaries.

i would like to know more about dreams, i usually dream a lot and sometimes the dreams are complicated once i had a very strange one in was with other people in in the ocean and there were other people standing in on a bridge and they were shouting that we get out of the ocean, but when i looked up there was like another ocean in the sky and somehow they water was still it was very scary next thing is the water fell n some people drowned but i survived. than i woke up what does that mean.

Dreams from God

14 For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.

21 His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones that were not seen stick out.

23 If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:
24 Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.
25 His flesh shall be fresher than a child's: he shall return to the days of his youth:
26 He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.
27 He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;
28 He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.
29 Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man,
30 To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living.

Maggyson, thanks for sharing your dream. In light of the recent typhoon, I would say it's a reminder to pray for the surviving victims since their real life experiences were possibly close to the one you described. Pray now and see if that gives you peace.

If it does not give you peace, you could consider it a personal message to you reminding you to pray for a different circumstance in your life. I don't know much about your life, so I can be of little help there. Maybe there are people in your life (like parents, etc.) who like to advise you about things in your life but do not concern themselves about the coming judgement of God. ??? Are you feeling overwhelmed lately? Maybe someone else in your life is. Here are some of the symbols from your dream (taken from the Christian dream dictionaries mentioned in the blog):
