This weekend I herd someone say;

It is easier to build a child...than it is to repair an adult.

It got me thinking about how important it is to be a good role model.

Words and actions can either build up a child or make them insecure.

I have tried to be careful how I word things, when correcting my kids.

When they disapoint you, it is hard to keep your words in check.

What kind of foundation are we giving the children in our lives.

Are we giving them the investment of wisdom and love to make

them secure adults...in Christ?

Proverbs 22:6
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

A neighbour lady I have has such an amazing good bond and relationship to her parents. Her dad now passed away two weeks ago, but all what she shared with me about him, her mother and more past situations from her family, it makes me rejoice with her on how blessed, loved and well raised up she was into the Christian faith as well. She says faith and love is what was most important in her family when growing up, I am happy she could be growing up in such a family. And most of all; That she felt so much loved by them both, and others around her.

Not everyone experiences it like this way, and it is sad seeing adults that were crushed down by the way their parents were with them. I do beleive those adults that had to learn everything themselves in becoming more secure and independent, that their parents might have had a lot of own issues to be struggling with too. Most important is when a child feels loved by it's parents, and not only feels but knows this as well. If a child doesn't feels nor knows it is loved by it's parents; Then they have failed in their parenthood.

Good words MissSunflower, I found the Love of Jesus at Church...and you are right...my parents did not get love at home.
It's hard to give what you don't know yourself. I was so blessed to have the promises of Jesus.

That is why it is so hard for some people to love their neighbor as themselves, you have to learn to love yourself...before you can love other
people.

Time spent on a child, puts value in their life. It lets them know they are worth something, valueable time spent is an investment in their future.
It is what we teach them through our actions and words, that gives them self worth.
