● Luke 16:29-31 . . Abraham said; "They have Moses and the Prophets; let
them hear them. If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, neither will
they be persuaded if someone rises from the dead."

The man, with whom Abraham spoke, called him "father" and he called the
man "son". So it's my guess that the man was related to Abraham.

The New Testament hadn't been compiled yet when Jesus told their story so
it was appropriate at the time that Abraham direct his son to the Old
Testament; which even to this day is a valuable evangelistic tool.

Anyway; my point is: if someone refuses to accept the book of Genesis that
the cosmos-- all of its forms of life, matter, and energy --is the product of
intelligent design; then it would probably be futile to invite them to church
Easter morning to hear a sermon about Jesus Christ's crucified dead body
restored to life.

Hi @Webers.Home, Jews, who are Jewish by their bloodlines, all claim Abraham as their father because he is, because he is the father of Issac, and Issac was the father of Jacob, and Jacob (Israel) was the father of the 12 Tribes of Israel.

As for who should or should not be invited to Easter services to hear the Gospel, I know MANY atheists who formerly held to atheistic evolution and, of course, did not believe in an intelligent Designer, many who literally hated even the idea of God and spent their time attacking the Christian faith, who God made into brothers/sisters in Christ .. cf Ezekiel 36:26-27; John 3:3; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:1-5.

Since faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ .. Romans 10:17, and because we cannot know who the elect are until they have heard and believed and come to saving faith in Jesus, it seems to me that anyone/everyone that we know .. who still needs to know Him .. should be the first to be included on our "Easter guest lists"
