I agree Jesus is the way!!!!!! But what about Christian monks?
Hi Bryan, I understand your enthusiasm about living an exciting life for Jesus in a far away country so why not direct all that energy and enthusiasm you have toward foreign missions. And you can start that research today by reading all you can find about Christian missions. Who knows but that maybe in a few years your church will be sending you out to the mission fields.
William Carey, 1761-1834 - Baptist missionary to India. Known as the father of modern missions.
Hudson Taylor, 1832-1905 - Missionary to China, medical doctor for 50 years, known for his respect for the Chinese culture.
Amy Carmichael - 1867-1951 - Missionary to India considered a career in missions after learning about Hudson Taylor about the need for missionaries in China - if you can read the book, "A chance to Die: The Life and Legacy of Amy Carmichael." by Elisabeth Elliot, a missionary to South America. And of course without a doubt you should read about the missionary journey's of the Apostle Paul in your bible.
Just a few thing to think about, God bless!
