Are they just scaring people, why do we hear nothing of intro virus that's killed hundreds of people so far?

The cdc has a patent on the Ebola virus ? Why have we not shut down flights? Seems to bring "scare" and make you give complete attention, what about the intro virus that's killed 100x more here, or even the isis problem, people need to watch what Obama just recently said in Germany, about people giving up their rights. I just think something is wrong here.

How did Ebola spread to five different countries....so fast?, how was this not contained? And I've heard more people on forums post more common sense about containment then the gov, why is this? Why would we ever let flights come from these places? It makes no sense...

But, somehow, there is a sence that it will not.

Wether one believes the news or the goverment, or the many predictions made.
As christians I see us all being called to peace in Jesus.
Our concerns should not be about the fears, but what we will do if this does become a world wide pandemic.

Ive read many posts and concerns about this terrible disease, and like many here have wondered about the days to come.
It was only a week ago though that I asked myself how many times had I been concerned for those who are already and have been for some time now, suffering in africa from this terrible disease?
It is trully humbleing.

I guess the question we as christians need to ask ourselves?
Is not wether it will spread and what the danger is to ourselves.
But what we will do if it does spread, and as christians, who we will serve?
Also, what we will fear?

What has been alot on my mind lately are Jesus's words, " he who seeks to save his life shall lose it, but he who is willing to lose his life for my sake, shall save it."

There was something on the news with people in full protective suits...half the people in the room started their Ebola panic. Turned out to just be coverage of another meth lab being busted.

If a deadly disease without any known vaccine or cure such as this (WHO now states 70% chance of death upon infection of Ebola) mutates into an airborne disease like the common cold then the world's population will be materially negated.

I hope and pray ebola will soon die out as it has many times before.
But, somehow, there is a sence that it will not.

During the forum, Berry; Dr. Dominic Lucia, a specialist in emergency medicine; McLane Children’s Scott & White Chief Medical Officer Dr. John Boyd and Dr. Karen Brust, infectious disease specialist, tried to reassure the public that they are more at risk of catching the flu than they are Ebola.

The doctors repeatedly assured the group that a person can’t contract Ebola unless the body fluid of someone who is displaying symptoms of the disease enters your body, such as if an Ebola patient coughs and saliva enters your eye.

An Ebola patient must be displaying symptoms to be contagious and the disease does not live outside of bodily fluid, they said.
“You have to be in really close contact with body fluids to be exposed to it,” Brust said.
The disease can’t be transmitted by sharing toilet seats with someone who is infected, and it’s not airborne, either, she said.
The reason medical professionals use airborne protection gear is because when working in close proximity to an Ebola patient, the risk to come in contact with bodily fluid, such as blood, vomit or saliva, is much higher, Brust said.

Statistically, it's more likely that Ebola will not mutate into an airborne transmitted virus than the odds are that it will. And it will be the liberals fault if that happens both because of their ignorant, delusional, irresponsible response when they had the political power over Western Civilization and their degenerate fall into atheism, paganism, apostasy, immorality, etc... I virus cannot "mutate" into an airborn virus unless it already has airborn strands...

A "mutation" is caused when the virus goes into a pig or duck or some other animal... When it comes back into the human after being into the animal it will now effect us differently... WHY?

The best way to under stand virus mutations is like understanding how a dog has changed from a wolf... It is still a wolf, it just has different over drawn characteristics that are normally overly passive so we call it a dog. But for instance, when a virus is inside a human it would be like a wolf... Kinda a jack of all trades, has ever capability inside of the genome but only the dominate genes are present.. When it goes into the duck, some of the dominate genes will not function, so the passive ones become dominate turning the wolf into a Rottweiler... When it comes back into the human, the passive genes are far more deadly and corrosive, but over time the Rottweiler will revert back into a dog because the passive genes which were once needed are no longer needed...

They call this "virus evolution/mutation". The reason being is a huge lecture on brainwashing and evolution. But in other words what I am trying to say is, if the virus ever becomes airborn (which it already is) The gene must have been present in first place, making the virus airborn from day one.

You see when viruses enter a cell, they make copies of their genetic information to assemble new virus particles. Viruses such as Ebola virus, which have genetic information in the form of RNA (not DNA as in other organisms), and are notoriously bad at copying their genome. The viral enzyme that copies the RNA makes many errors, perhaps as many as one or two each time the viral genome is reproduced. Now the more hosts infected by a virus, the more mutations will arise. RNA viruses are masters at mutation and this is partly why we need new vaccine's every year for viruses like influenza, for example. That's the bad news.

The good news is that, of course, not all of these mutations will find their way into infectious virus particles and, in fact, it's rare that they do. I'm not personally aware of a virus that has ever mutated to change it's method transmission.

The bottom line is that it's not likely that Ebola will go airborne; however, there is evidence that strains of it exist in non-human populations that already have and furthermore it's possible that it could.

We shall have to wait and see. In the meanwhile, reducing the number of hosts is critical to ensuring that it doesn't. Historically, plague has been quite an event. For example, the Black Death which began in Europe in the 13th century took an estimated 30 percent or more of the entire population of Christianized Europe.

Lots of things can take your last breath and they include disease, being the victim of a crime, accidental death, etc... But I'm sure you find some consolation in pretending that you are invulnerable and while people die all around you from a wide variety of causes: it could never happen to you.
