This is a good post because i've been following Musk's journey for a while.
For an eccentric billionaire he's doing society a favor by balancing things out.
I keep an eye out from time to time. I find him an interesting person. I think he's in the situation that Trump is, he's either seen as a champion for free speech or he's hated. Not a lot of in between. I do agree, he seems to balance things out. Zuck just goes with whatever Dems pay him or tell him to do.
For me he's even more interesting because he's in the tech industry and the tech industry as a whole tends to swing on the left most of the time, so seeing him as a techie and as a geek go against the grain is very interesting and fun to watch.
It's the whole concept of "return on investment".
Both parties are susceptible to thinly veiled bribery...Republicans and Democrats alike. AKA "donors"

The difference is that Democrats are generally speaking cheaper than Republicans. Not always, but more often a Democrat's vote is $20,000 cheaper than a Republican's vote on any subject.
Now currently, with options trading votes can be had for stock options and/or stocks themselves....a few trades with insider information (which congress is not prosecuted for) can make them literally millionaires from pennies of investment.
Which brings up what has happened with Twitter....
Content creators get a larger portion of the revenue sharing than any other social media platform. X pays more for clicks and views than YouTube or Facebook or TicTok or Reddit. 97% is impossible for them.
And with now the rather loose rules of moderation....just about anything can come across your feed. Anything from ads for porn looking like an ordinary post to some of the most gruesome war scenes or fight scenes available. Nevermind the prejudice and conspiracy theorists being allowed free reign. Sure there are "community notes" but they are slow and don't work that well.
Then there's bootleg movies shown in full lenth...anything you want. (That the owners aren't savvy on protecting)
Usually they are coming from Telegram....
News sites are faster and more accurate and visual without the filtering that legacy news media. You can get reports almost in real-time as the events unfold. The legacy News can't compete...even though they are 24/7.
It's a filthy world put there....unrestricted social media is the filthiest which is what X truly is.

In order to drive some common sense into people, you have to follow a train of thought or action to its destination in order for people to self-realize that "hey maybe we shouldn't be in this 2-party extreme system with extreme thoughts and ideas" "Maybe we need some more common sense and be in the middle and more reasonable".
So when the left is acting like fascists, Musk is acting like a chaos factor by allowing even the most extreme to counter-balance their fascism.
This is also why we have more discussions now about DEI and some employers are starting to think and lights bulbs are going on their heads.
"Oh maybe we need to hire people based on skills not skin color".
So Musk is providing a balance to the left-wing views which were going rampant for the last 10 years at a personal cost too because he has the money and doesn't care.
He even said that "If Twitter doesn't work and it will be shut down, it will be my greatest gift to humanity".
By that he is saying "I destroyed the most influential left-wing platform"
At this point...
Twitter is a private company...not publicly traded and has been delisted from the stock exchange. Meaning that he has even more freedom to do as he wishes. But at the same time he has more clicks and viewership than any other platform in existence.
He has tossed millions of bots off the platform. He has also done a lot of things that the Left hates. But at the same time the Left is allowed full access to the platform as well.
There are tons of Ukranians, Latvians, Slovakian and others that post constantly about the truth of the war in Ukraine. There's also Jews and Palestinians....although the Palestinians will interrupt EVERY thread with their hate speech. Even the fun funny threads of discussion. The Jews post truth, evidence, and pictures of everything. The Palestinians posted staged phoney TicToks of children getting hurt....or other young men (paid actors) getting hurt...but they over used the same guy too many times and he became the Joke of X.
Even the latest news about how some "American journalist" died in a Ukrainian prison is a joke currently. That guy went to Ukraine to make videos of how to take advantage young Ukrainian girls and then swapped to working for the Russians and giving misleading reports of the war....but then he started giving the Russians Ukranian troop locations and movements...he was warned twice and then placed under house arrest and when he tried to escape to Hungary they incarcerated him. This is when he got drug resistant pneumonia and died. (He was getting treated)
You can read about everything in detail if you want. It's available for public consumption. So is every conspiracy theory and the truth behind it.
Elon has provided the platform but he gets told on as well. He is opposed to US aid or anyone's aid to Ukraine because he has contracts with Russia for materials to make his Tesla cars and trucks. And the sanctions are killing Tesla as he has to get more expensive materials and parts. (Double edged sword)
