One of the best features of X is that major news breaks in real time....Zero delay.

By the time MSM catches up to slant report on it or ignore it completely when they don't like the story....it's already been heavily discussed and hashed out by people. Not that all the discussion is intelligent of course.
Most people don't have a good understanding of current economics. (It's always about the money) or various political positions (always about the money) .

But the whispers are interesting.
As to who is building electrical infrastructure, who is offering tax breaks to data centers, who is actually building electricity generating facilities and who is not. Has any old mines been reopened?
All sorts of questions that you never thought to ask.
These things can tell you what is really going on moreso than any politician or news media can.
Industry is important for a LOT of reasons. Some have difficult requirements to meet.

Can't have any felonies and work in a priority field. Meaning that those with DUI's can't get a job in either a Data Center, Airport, or Shipyard. Also drug screening is everywhere. So where lots of people like using THC in small amounts where it's legal, it will cost you a job anyway. Fentanyl users also need not apply.

I'm retired....but the needed numbers for skilled trades and the wages they are paying makes me wish I wasn't.

You can silence anyone.
And with the trolls leaving in droves....getting better all the time.

Their definitely leaving X after the new feature tells everyone their country of origin. for the past several years there's been a mass Exodus of younger people from Facebook, probably for the same reasons I mentioned, the news feed is like 99% irrelevant political rage bait and weird ai.

also since Facebook got rid of fact checkers there are a lot of fake stories written by AI

a quick telll that it's a fake AI story is when you Google it and don't find a single source reporting it

Hey I don't get news from a social platform. That would obviously be filled with bias, prejudice and opinion. I do use FB but for stuff I like...like dogs. Lots of dogs. I used to have a pretty big following when I ran a biz page for my photography/art, but I ditched it.
FB is a money grab for advertising and they are rolling in it.

I don't even really like FOX anymore. They are not a news platform. They are a political statement; much like the democrat bulwark baloney outlets.

BUT I will say those bulwark networks lie a whole lot more and offer a lot of personal commentary that sadly too many think is news when it is not anything more but bias etc. I tend to wander around the web, or youtube or even countries to try and get enough info to be able to decide on my own, what I do or do not believe. I have some behind the scene info sources that can put a different aspect on things.

Big shocker though, they lie on Fox too or exagerate; just less. I don't have respect for that.

The ability to sort through the maze is both a gift and something learned.

pretty quick way to tell a fake AI story is just to Google it. if you don't find it reported from a single source, then it's a fake story
99% of my news feed is just irrelevant spam, political rage bait, weird cringy AI.

only reason I haven't deleted Facebook is because there are a few groups I enjoy participating in, and I manage a couple groups
