I was having an emotional week and while trying to explain something that I was feeling unhappy about (without trying to complain or whine) I cried in front of my NEW boss. Now I'm worried about what he thinks of me and I'm worried about how it might affect evaluations, etc. I was concentrating so much on getting off on the right foot that I lost control of my emotions and brought tears into something that should have been professional. Now every time we see each other I feel awkward and am having a hard time concentrating because I keep thinking about it. And I'm starting to feel depressed/lack energy. Thanks in advance for any prayers or words of wisdom!

Ashley, trust all of this to Jesus, He has the most power over your boss anyway. :)
Ill be praying for all you ask in Jesus Christ is Lord.

Hugs and God bless

I doubt your boss thought much of it. We women are just plain more emotional than men; he probably knows that by now :) .

If it'd make you feel better you may want to apologize for the 'waterworks' in a light-hearted way and then change the subject quickly.

Lol. Thanks! I did tell him it was just an emotional week for me- but I still feel embarassed! goodness! lol

If he thinks any less of you for one little outburst, he has a problem. I mean, what's a few tears when you could have done that other thing...

Seriously, you didn't harm anyone, or make the business lose customers. I doubt he held it against you.

There is no issue here. Clear your mind and focus on the present!
