I see “the great tribulation “ as being about the generetion of those days and fulfillment t of the prophets regarding those things against Jerusalem . when Jesus walked among them and John was writing revelation when it was about to be fulfilled
again not all of revelation but a good portion is about this being fulfilled is my opinion (. My my opinion nothing more than that )
“Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! The great tribulation just my opinion was what he was preparing them with him then to know would come after he departed
As Jesus was saying that his disciples came asking about what he had said which is when he tells them about the great tribulation and destruction of Jerusalem and its temple . But also they pose a second question to him which makes his answer confusing he’s talking about the end of Jerusalem and also the end of the world later
“And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, (1) when shall these things be?( Jerusalems destruction ad 70)
( 2) and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?”( youll note why I made this one question )

My point is some of what Jesus is saying is about that generation and specific to those people in that place Jerusalem. And other parts of what he’s saying there is about the long range and the end of the world when Jesus returns from heaven
About them and my thought of the “great tribulation period “

And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! He seems to be telling then they will have to go through this to me but in other places he discusses his return after all that happens
I believe each testament has an end and the great tribulation was about thiers ending and thier jidgement being fulfilled
and jesus will return from heaven to settle the account with the whole world at the conclusion of the prophecy on the nt doctrine also written on the ot but taught in the new

Hello, O. The timing of the harvest is at the end of the age when Jesus returns at the 7th trump, His Second Advent. And in the twinkling of an eye, we will all be changed into our spiritual bodies.

The seven year tribulation period ? I’ve heard and discussed that but never really saw the doctrine for it in scripture
consider this the ot promise of the coming of the messiah

my point is on the ot there’s a whole bunch of prophecy for them that would be fulfilled when the messiah came to them and it ends up in Jerusalems utter destruction in a time of tribulation like no other for all of thier rebellion and worship of false gods all along and eventual rejection of he himself in person
i don’t really know what label I’d say I am I never really did look into what none of em meant . Just a commoner trying to understand the Bible better honestly if I labeled a denomination sti on it would be Protestant I’m in no way interested in theology just scripture

After the saints in Israel have been persecuted 3.5 years.
On the day of the Lord during great tribulation.Same day the armed forces place the abomination of desolation in Jerusalem.

I highly doubt it would take more than 45 days to remove the weeds from the kingdom.

Given the way things have gone from bad to worse, the end of the age is probably quite close. But Christians need to know (1) the Resurrection/Rapture must occur first (2) the reign of the Antichrist must happen after that, and then (3) the harvest of those who are under judgment will happen. Some of it will be during the Tribulation and Great Tribulation, and some of it at the Second Coming of Christ. But there can be no date-setting. All these attempts at date-setting simply confuse people.
