Thanks for the encouragement Ariel83, Feedm3 and Abiding for Part 1 of "End times madness" in which I admit I took the name from Dr. Gary Demar's book "End Times Madness" in which I have never read yet lol.

Part 2

The Coming of the Son of Man

29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

Judgment language concerning the fallen City, it's lights out for ancient Jerusalem, the Old Covenant, and lights on for the kingdom of Christ, the New Covenant [the age we worship in spirit and truth, not on a literal mountain or temple] in which we live right now, the spiritual kingdom with Christ on the throne of David in heaven. Who even the the Apostle John saw himself in this kingdom Revelation 1:9 This Spiritual kingdom was brought to light by John the Baptist and Jesus Christ himself in their proclamation of the kingdom's nearness, Matthew 3:1-3 , Matthew 10:7 (language used for nearness of time). This kingdom can never be defeated, why? Because it is spiritual and only God can destroy the soul/spirit, Matt. 10:28. Daniel 2:44 prophecies about the kingdom in which those in Christ are apart of:

Daniel 2:44
44 And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people (as in earthly rulers or institutions, our King Jesus is our ruler) it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

Think about it, this is not an end times verse, if the stars literally fell from the sky to the earth, the earth would be obliterated to dust particles. This is judgment language used all over the OT and Revelations.
For example:

Isaiah 13:9-10 - the coming judgment against ancient Babylon

9 Behold, the day of the Lord comes,

Cruel, with both wrath and fierce anger,
To lay the land desolate;
And He will destroy its sinners from it.
10 For the stars of heaven and their constellations
Will not give their light;
The sun will be darkened in its going forth,
And the moon will not cause its light to shine.

and

Isaiah 34: 4-5 - Judgment proclaimed on Edom and surrounding inhabitants

4 All the host of heaven shall be dissolved,
And the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll;
All their host shall fall down (if the happened literally, then we wouldn't be here to talk about it!)
As the leaf falls from the vine,
And as fruit falling from a fig tree. 5 “For My sword shall be bathed in heaven;
Indeed it shall come down on Edom,

and

Ezekiel 32:7-8 - Coming judgment upon Pharaoh and Egypt

7 When I put out your light,
I will cover the heavens, and make its stars dark;
I will cover the sun with a cloud,
And the moon shall not give her light.
8 All the bright lights of the heavens I will make dark over you,
And bring darkness upon your land,”
Says the Lord God

Remember what the context of Matthew 24 is, the destruction of the temple, Jerusalem, Israel of the flesh, the old covenant. From God's point of view the Old Jewish system of religion was finished at the cross, the veil was ripped two. But the earthly system continued on and was not completely dead as the writer of Hebrews clearly states that it was vanishing away. 70AD marked the final death of the old covenant from an earthly or humanist point of view. Jesus was just in giving fleshly Israel approximately 40 years to repent.

Hebrews 8:7-10

7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, (we could never keep the law perfectly in our flesh, the very reason Christ came to keep it for us, the New Covenant) then no place would have been sought for a second. 8 Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel (who says the bible never calls the Church today Israel, the house of Israel is a reference to ALL the saved by faith in Christ in the OT and NT) and with the house of Judah (same deal)— 9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, (our days, for what days followed after Christ's Work and 1st Advent? The days we are now in!.. No where does it suggest that we are to skip over the Church age into a literal millennium age, we are in a realized millennium age now) says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts (also a fulfillment of Jeremiah 31:33) ; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. (this describes us, true believers), the NT describes us, Christians as the Israel of God (Gal. 6:15-16), Children of God (Romans 8:16), the household of God (Eph. 2:19), the Children of Abraham (Gal 3:7), Abraham's SEED (Gal. 3:29), Children of the promise (Rom. 9:8, Gal 4:28) [what promises? the promises made to the Abraham's SEED in the OT], Elect of God (Col 3:12), Heirs of God (Rom. 8:17), People of His own (Titus 2:14), Heirs according to the promise (Gal.3:29), the temple of God (Rev. 3:12, Zec 6:15, 1 Cor. 3:16, 1 Cor. 6:19, 2 Cor 6:16, Jer. 7, Psa 27:4 ), We are the circumcision (Phil. 3:3), the Royal priesthood, a holy nation, a chosen generation, a people for possession (1 Peter 2:9 and Exodus 19:5-6), Heirs of the kingdom (right NOW - James 2:5) the 12 tribes of Israel (James 1:1), the Sons of God (John 1:12), Kings and priest unto God (Rev. 1:6), We are the New Jerusalem, pillars in the temple, we have the name of God, His name is written on us, we bear the name of the City (Rev. 3:12), we are the people of God (Heb. 4:9), we are mount Zion, we are people of the city of the living God (Heb. 12:22)...

May our relationship with Christ embolden us to put on the full armor of God!!

30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
This probably a reference to Christ's ascension, if you have a NASB see the reference to Daniel 7:13, and Rev. 1:7, , in my humble opinion I think it is a reference to both His ascension and His coming judgment because they both go hand in hand, they both mark His dominion over the earth from a heavenly perspective and an earthly one.

31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, (it doesn't say last trumpet here, the last trumpet is Christ 2nd advent where Christ judges the wicked and casts them into Hell according to their wickedness, the Christians according to their works and makes everything a new, the final and physical manifestation the eternal state, It's all one big event, no where in the bible does it suggest these are separate events and separated by thousands of years).. and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
(Christians today are gathered together in spirit, from all over the world, Christ's works accomplishes this).

The Parable of the Fig Tree

32 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors!

The warning is clear to the 1st Century believers in Jerusalem, When the armies amount and surround Jerusalem Luke 21:20, God will give them a short time to get out. All these things that Jesus describes actually did happen, just as sure as summer follows spring.

34 Assuredly, I say to you (to Jesus' audience, not us), this (NOT THAT) generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.

About 36 years, approximately a biblical generation of 40 years. This was Jesus's complete answer the one big question in verse 3.
Many futurist will say that I over spiritualize everything. I don't believe so, I simply recognize the genre of the language used and apply the meaning in which it was intended. "This generation" is used 42 times in the 4 gospels and Acts, and the only time the futurist say that it does not apply to that current time period,1st century, is in the olivet discourse. All of a sudden "this generation" becomes "that generation" and is applied to a future event to fit their eschatological system.
