I am a Confessional Protestant Christian. I am confessionally Reformed and I have sympathy for much of Lutheran thought. I used to be very lonely and desperate. But this past year, I've more or less got over that.

I actually enjoy being single! I"ve gone on a few casual dates and got to know some nice girls, but I love going to restaurants and eating by myself. I take a book, my phone (with an extra battery) loaded up with podcasts and audiobooks and I read or listen to great books while enjoying a good meal. Or I go to a bar or pub and I don't drink bad beer, but I can spend a little more to get a really nice ale, lager, bock, cider, or a glass of wine, Sherry, or Port. And I don't have to go dancing which most girls love to do and I hate.

OK, its totally selfish, but I can do whatever I want and I'm comfortable with being by myself. I also have guy and girl friends with whom I hang. I can travel when I want, sightsee, and don't have to make compromises.

I want a wife. I don't just want to have fun, but while I'm single, why not enjoy myself? I can use my spare time to have fun, but also volunteer at my church and serve in many way- which I do. I can learn new hobbies. I want to have a family and be commited to serving my local parish. But I am not going to live a miserable life during singleness.

Thats pretty much a common theme here, learning to be happy being single. Comes up a lot in one form or another.

I enjoy it! but today I forgot my Bible and my buddy shared his we had to snuggle in and something made desire having someone but then I shook it off and remembered reality isn't all whimsical so went home made a peanut butter chocolate chip sandwhich on hot toast and said ahhh the single life
