Ehp. 4 : 11-12,
"11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:" [1]

In this passage we are told that there are two types of Christians, gifted ministers who are responsible for perfecting saints, and saints being perfected by those gifted ministers.

I" de like to see those gifted ministers announce themselves, and the saints being perfected to do the same.

I'll go first. I'm 100% a saint positioning himself to be perfected by the only gifted minister ive known in 38 years.

Go!

I am a saint/saved sinner being perfected, and I do not have the gift of speaking or preaching, which is why I depend on thinking and writing.

I depend on thinking and writing also, but that is always been in addition to that gifted teacher that seemingly was assigned to me weeks after I began the continually surrendered life. Without that gifted teacher, the faith life would be completely different, and not for the better.

I realize finding a gifted teacher that even knows what true biblical faith and faithing is, is like finding a needle in a haystack. But I think if we faithe correctly, God will lead us to one.

And the more we lean on AI, the further we get from the truth of Eph.4: 11-12.

OK Aaron i admit saying that is kind of petty. But we all know most of us either don't have a gifted instructor, are perfecting ourselves, or have replaced our potential gifted teachers with AI.

This is a huge problem, and I just wanted to seal the exits .

If Eph.4:11-12 is Gods communication line to the saints, what happens when that gifted teacher is removed from the process?

I truly think the saints of today are fulfilling the scripture" the time will come when they will nolonger endure sound doctrine."

This could be a big reason why.

Galatians 6:3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

1 Corinthians 4:7 For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?

I read the Bible, preach the truth, and live to be Christlike.

I do not call myself a title.

Some people want to say they have a title because they want to exalt themselves.

Especially the title of prophet.

Many people say I am a prophet and then their interpretation is whacked out.

Where did you come up with that.

Just like the 1960's counter culture movement, feminism, the LGBTQ community, the Woke movement, BLM, and others their arrogance causes them to go against interpretations to say I have the truth and am special.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

The preacher or whatever title they have or think they have does not get more wisdom than the common pew sitter.

For God gives every person the same wisdom to understand.

Which is why the Bible says study to show yourself approved of God, and search the scriptures daily to see if they are telling the truth, and we need not that any person will teach us but the Spirit will teach us.

I am a saint and I do not care about a title.

And many people love those titles trying to act like they are above the common saint.

But everybody gets the same wisdom, understanding, and help to be Christlike.

So what do they brag about.

Both gifted teachers and gifted learners are rather rare in my experience,
so truthseekers must love learning from Scripture and the Holy Spirit,
even though one risks learning more than the preacher. However,
most pew-sitters seem content with some peppy songs and entertaining stories.

My time of leaning/learning was before AI was invented, but I used Suno recently in lieu of a garage band
to create new arrangements of songs I composed circa 1968, which I view as an answer to prayer.
(I know you do not like them, but the link is this for other readers of this post: https://groovykerygma.bandcamp.com/album/pilgrimage-2 )

Ya G , maybe I gave you the wrong impression. I don't listen to music not because I don't like it, but because I do like it.

gifted minister. not a minister but i gravitate towards teaching when conversing with people on the subject of the Bible.

Do you expect heaven to be hell?!
Do you pray and work for heaven on earth?
Do you think Jesus did not listen to music he liked?

I take it the only gifted minister you have known in 38 years is the HS/Lord, otherwise if a man you will also inherit all the exact same errors he has.

Everyone receives a gift from God, there are gifted teachers out there who are atheists and do a great job of teaching evolution(from a worldly point of view) Yet God also provides those who have the gift of the gab to the church. Today when God bestows a gift to the church I read the verse or verses in the context that the person is the gift, not that some random dude is bestowed supernaturally a natural gift like teaching.

Not sure why you would expect to inherit his errors, it is a person, I never met him, hardly know anything about his personal life. But I know his teachings inside and out.
Christ is the first goer of faith, there's a second, third and so on. He allowed me to stand on his shoulders and see far beyond what I thought i could.

Can't wait to meet him on the other side.

Thinking about what you referenced "his errors "I assume you were thinking his errors in teaching.
Being gifted by God to be one of His gifted ministers, I would think the errors would be very few. But, the Holy spirit, the mind of Christ that Was gifted to me would be the safety net, to deal with something like that were to happen.

One of the things that made him my gifted teacher, was that I had the experience first, he validated that experience. The only one! So he was communicating with me on a level he wasn't even aware of. One of the best happenings of the Christian life, for sure.

Do you expect heaven to be hell?!
Do you pray and work for heaven on earth?
Do you think Jesus did not listen to music he liked?
1) First question is ridiculous and doesn't deserve an answer.

2) Do you pray and work for for heaven on earth? No, I personally surrender my life to Him and live a life inspired by such surrender. After that, praying for something for myself would be contrary to that surrendered life.

3) Do you think Jesus did not listen to music He liked? I obviously can't answer that. If He did, probably not even close to the relationship people have with music now.
