Did God create "eternal life" in His infinite wisdom?
Yes.
God did not create it in or as a response, but in His wisdom. Eternal life is direct connection to, access to the Father, that is why Jesus is the way. He was raised "with" power, the bible says, not by, with, the power to give us this access & life according to a plan of glory.
Adam & Eve ate from the tree of life before the fall into sin. And, as Scripture says death came by sin. They did not possess eternal life, but eternal existance. Read Rms 5, if you want, even in kjv, so we are sharing in the same words. Romans 6 states, the gift of God is eternal life through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
God, is an eternal God, who ultimately wanted to share His life, life eternal. There are reasons for the words & terms. Only begotten, first begotten and what it means for the church the body of Christ to be referred to as begotten by the gospel for today. Sonship, inheritance, election to vocation, predestined for service, ect. But, eternal life is a gift offered to every one, freely given by His grace through the faith of Christ. God, who would have all men to be save, calls all men everywhere to repent and come unto the knowledge of the truth. (Acts 17:30-31, Jn 17:1-3)
As a saved person, we should understand that we possess this life now, with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. What does it mean to you that we (saved believers) are a purchased possession (Eph 1:14), have been translated into the kingdom of His dear Son (Col 1:13)? Paul says, I have been crucified with Christ, then goes on to say in a few places things about Christ being manifest in us. That is the "mystery of godliness", eternal life being manifest and displayed as Christ spoils the the principalities, power, positions, might of realms in dominions He took back by His cross work (Col 2:15, Ps 8:4-6, 1 Cor 2:7-8).
That is why it is without controversy, that God was made manifest in the flesh, this statement is not talking about the incarnation, but the mystery of godliness, the seal of the holy Spirit of promise. When you see that term with a little "h" for holy, it means something specific & unique to our edification.
Through this work of the mystery of godliness, God establishes us and desires to build a house of doctrine into our inner man. We can see this in the words, "again... until Christ be formed in you" (Gal 4:19). That is why Paul says he "serves God with his spirit", and also if we deny Him, He will deny us, talking about spiritual growth, maturation, judgement seat blessings.
