I was asked on numerous occasions and i myself have asked this of the Lord: IF God is so good, how come He allows evil in the world? Why didn't He just destroy the devil from the get-go? If He saw from beginning to end, surely He wouldn't have let this all happen?
The Answer i got was given only after spending a lot of time with the Lord and getting to know Him.
God is not like us at all. His nature, ways and thoughts are not LIKE ours. His ways are for more higher. Isaiah 55:8.
You see, THE LORD IS too good to destroy, so he allows someone else to do the job. And the destruction done always turns around and destroys the hand who destroys... as we see here in Isaiah 33:1. What you sow is what you shall reap. Galatians 6:7-8
God doesn't manipulate, He can't manipulate to control us, it isn't in Him. The Lord just gives His word and stands by it no matter what. We learn through discipline this very truth. John 1:1. Even though someone does evil, He doesn't change His way. He isn't manipulated nor threatened by it. He has everything including death in His hands, so what does HE fear? Who does HE fear? Yes, The enemy did evil and we followed him by nature in the beginning, but that isn't strong enough to change WHO and WHAT the true God is. But through darkness, we now see True Love, the True God.
God loves and stands on His Word to love. 1 John 4:8.
So as WE would have shunned the thought of the devil and his angels from being created and would have wiped out evil from the beginning, The Lord had a greater plan. Where i would show i was no better than evil itself by destroying it and my strength not as strong by stopping it, He does the incredible. He shows His strength and the bigger thing, HIS Glory in the face of evil. Love is greater and what bigger way to show it than when the whole world does the greatest evil against Him, THEN He CHOOSES to turn around and forgive us for it. It is when we see this that we are forgiven. It is when we understand this we truly repent about who we had become, then we see true love and how GREAT He is. Love always keeps His Word even when evil tries to manipulate that Word. He cannot lie nor change his word based on our actions. Titus 1:2. How many times does a parent say i am taking back your birthday presents because you never clean your room? Even though we might, or may want to, God does not and will not.
It is a gift, not based on merit. Even though we have to sit depressed in a messy room and may get disciplined for it in other ways, gifts are supposed to be grace not to be taken back for any reason. Liars take back, true gifts are never taken away. It is a gift.
Love stays it does not run from evil it overcomes it. How can you see in the dark? Only when a bright light shows up. Amen.
No one can help you when you need to see in the dark and they give you a broken flashlight to see with. No one can see clearly when they are in the dark. Evil cannot overcome evil. To God be the Glory forever. Amen.
