Whether you believe it or not, GodlessGirl, there are non- christian scientists who deny evolution.
Do some research before making claims (but I guess your purpose is to make people angry, and in that case you are not willing to look for the truth anyway)

In truth, I don't believe in evolution because of the evolution of it (the theory). Evolution began with some very clear expectations for evidence that either could not, or had not, be gathered at the time. As time progressed, the theory was progressively modified to accommodate new evidence that contradicted some of those initial expectations.
As these changes were made, the theory became more general and sweeping and lost much of its original expectations. In doing so, it currently sits in a state that makes it pseudo-science; just as pseudo science as other alternatives.
For now, though it seems we are stuck in this false dichotomy that has resulted in this crazy Creation vs Evolution debate.

I think I already answered this question in another room. But uhm...anyway. basically the evolution theory isnt proven, but what is proven, is that it really was MADE BY PEOPLE. Again, not worth my life.

I would answer you, but that is basically impossible because if I can not use what I believe(the Bible) to defend my beliefs then how am I to answer your question?

I actually took a botany class last year and my teacher was bent on teaching evolution. Her class actually made me believe more firmly in Christ.
Did you know bumble bees see UV light and we don't?
Did you know that there was a particular flower that has *arrows* on the petals pointing to the pollen that can only been seen in UV light? Those arrows are not for the bee, but are for us. The concept of lines "pointing" towards food is too abstract for bees. To say that a bee looks at an arrow and understands what it means is anthropomorphizing it.
Not to mention so many species that absolutely HAVE to have another species to even survive!
Then I also see things like the black hole in the Whirlpool Galaxy.
Not to MENTION the Laminin- the molecule that holds your skin together? Yeah its shaped like a cross too.
Besides those natural signs of God's existence, there are also all those personal stories. The ones that I've experienced, the visions my mother has had, the prayers that have been granted despite how crazy they were. The very feeling of his presence is one I will never, ever forget.
No matter how smart your arguments are for evolution. No matter how convincing it may seem to you- I have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside me. His presence alone is more than enough to convince me.

As you noted, you can't answer questions of fact based on your own beliefs. Beliefs are just that. Oddly enough, though. If your beliefs are in fact truth, then at some point or other they will be shown as fact.

I can answer this thread using my beliefs because this whole thing is based off of beliefs. Read the original post.
By using the word believe she is opening it up for everyone to deny that belief and then explain our beliefs by saying "why don't you?" But for her to say we can not use the Bible because it is not proven is absurd when that is what we believe.
