There's a famous evolutionist who is Catholic and fights against creationism being taught in schools. He is going to be honored in May as an outstanding Catholic who embodies the ideals of the Church. Thoughts?

Do you want christian theology to be taught by liberal secular humanists who are not Holy Spirit indwellt and hate christianity?

Think about what you want before you ask for it.

By the way, why are you letting others teach your kids about God? That is a sure fire way to confuse a child.
 
Yeppe! There are Christians out there who believe that God uses evolution as a means of forming the Earth over time.

That would depend on what form of evolution you are talking about. The proven changes in a species or the speculation of changes from one species into another.

God created the world. I wasn't there but I know He did. As for...how....or when....its moot.

This is a debate that will go for ever. Cause there really is no hard evidence to support either side. If you want to see something good along this line watch the youtube video where Ken Hamm smashes Bill Nye on this same issue as well as the age of the earth and so on...
 
I hate how Biologos actively fight against biblical creationists. That said, creationists don't hate the man in the article, they just highly disagree with his beliefs.
 
Show chapter and verse where the bible says the earth is x amount of years old...or...

why the age of the earth is spiritually important.

You do know there are gaps in the geneologies and that they were not put in the bible to ascertain the age of the earth.

There is no credible science that suggests a 6000 year old earth.

There is nothing in believing an old earth position that supports anti-christian ideals other than disagreeing with a poorly supported young earth theology.
