Truth can be carried into battle, worn as protection (as one renews mind and
spirit from the enemy's onslaught, or bound onto one's mind. Jesus said I AM... the
truth... He, the perfect law of liberty and the truth, sets us free from bondage of the
enemy, from struggles, when we had taken things in our own hands, in our own
power, from the traps of the bird catcher, devourer.
One of the traps of Satan is responding in unforgiveness. it is the rooted seed of
bitterness. Its fruit is rage and anger. Murmuring and complaining waters this bitter
plant, and strengthens it with satanic stronghold-grudges. We cannot implant new
insights from God’s Word when resentment grows, and soon our resolve to know
God, and witness to others wanes, shrivels, and dies. Selfishness grows parasitically
upon the leaves of this plant. We no longer nourish ourselves with the leaves of God's
Word. Our connection to the energy of the Holy Spirit is snapped or completely
severed.
We must bind this work of Satan and cast it down, and loose his stranglehold on
our minds. Cut the evil bonds with sword of God's Word, by getting right with God.
When you abide in the secret place of the Most High, you will see the reward of
the wicked (Psalm 91.8). You do not carry out your own program of vengeance. In-
dwelled by Christ, empowered, you walk led by the Spirit. You do not tread on
people, you tread upon the lion and adder, the young lion and the dragon you trample
under your feet (Psalm 91.13).
He will set you on high ground because you have set your love upon Him (Psalm
91.14). In Jesus, the old-man is crucified, the fleshly responses are crucified. God set
Jesus upon high to redeem us from evil bondage (Part of the prophecy of 91.14 is
about Christ Jesus’ work on Calvary). The work of the cross destroyed satan and
made him an open spectacle. Christ triumphed over him, and destroyed the
accusations and curses against us (written in the law).
