Excerpt from He Will Hide Me in His Pavilion by Byron Gene Mace
The Mind

The Word of God is every believer's refuge from the world. The mind needs a

rest from the world--a rest from the world and its bombardment sinful, dark ways of

thinking. The Word is our rest from the world. When the mind has been cleansed

from all the trash of the world, then the body can rest. The body will follow the

leadings of the mind, whether good or bad.

But the strongholds of the mind are still there to remind the believer that he does

died for each one of us and by the simple act of faith in Him--by our reception of

Him as our personal Savior, we have begun a new life as new creations to live new

lives for God.

God sent His Son to die for us--who were once sinners and to bring us back to

Him (forever) and this is what the Bible means by grace.

Ephesians 2.4-5 [ESV]

But God, rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, even when

we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ--by grace you have
