that's good -- i think part of the point was getting us to admit to ourselves that we're idiots, without having to literally call us that.
The point of this was that I see lots of well thought out , well written posts, with sources, verses and generally acceptable content and then the writer finishes with an insult. Which in my mind really negates any stance no matter the validity. I see this happening far to often and have been the object of this sort of barb a few times. I am trying to point out in the bible that Jesus never did this sort of thing such as my excerpt from another post which says:
To give another example there was a guy in the chat room one day going on about his accolades as a street preacher, something was said that sparked some indignation and he told the entire chat room they could '' expletive his expletive''. His entire testimony on here rendered void in one fell swoop.
The really disappointing part of this is the the largest pool of offenders seem to be men over 40 whom according to the bible I would think given years of walking with the Lord would be the meekest, wisest, most well versed in correction without the brashness of youth. It's quite sad because it seems the 40 and younger crowd for the most part seems to be able to make their points without the barbs and in rather cordial manner.

I have always said I am not the sharpest tool in the shed, that I am slow, dense, not with it etc. etc.
So its all good on my end LOL
Maybe people seem to ripen differently?
Like if I were orange I would be a sweet fruit, but just say you have a freind who is a lemon, he would still be a fruit but he would taste and come off as rather sour dont you think?

If God chooses the foolish things in the world to confound the wise, then I would feel privileged to be a part of those foolish things in order to do so.

The sons of thunder! I always get a chuckle out of this one.
I believe the reason for this is most of us On CC are trying to teach and as a teacher this is how Jesus deals with teachers...with disciples it is different....disciples don't try to teach the teacher...although some on CC who have not learned Christ consider themselves teachers of Christ....

actually I think it a good thread...maybe we should all double check our responses...and be sure the message we to want send is the one we are getting across...and not say ooops after it is gone....or when we read it two days after say....mmmm did I really write that...?
I think the point the OP is making ...is that we should be a bit more responsible in our responses...and I agree with him...
