I dont know about depressing. But they need a tounge depressor for all the tongue out selfies :P. I know awful joke :( Im sorry had to be silly or I wouldnt be me lol
 
I enjoy Facebook, and check in daily, as the people I befriend are mostly all believers and range from people I have known for decades and are far from me geographically, and are people that were once in my life and I love them. The purpose for me to post in Facebook is to bring glory to God and to show lurkers and unbelievers the reality of a life lived in Jesus Christ...what hope we have in Him, in this hopeless, wicked world. In this social setting, if one isn't using it to glorify God and to help build the Kingdom of God, then yes, deactivate.
 
Yes, Facebook is depressing. I completely deleted mine two weeks ago. The pointless "checking in" every five seconds really got to me and I noticed I was getting on it every second of the day... =/ Crazy things.
 
Facebook doesn't depress me. I'm generally happy for people when they are successful and doing good in life and you should be too. But I'll tell you what does depress me. I had to sit through 30 minutes of the Jerry Springer show at a doctors appt. and I must say it was slightly depressing to watch. To see men and women dumb enough to fight over a man or woman, a booty shaking advertisement, etc. I must say to see so much ratchetness is very depressing. It makes me wonder what kind of people actually like to watch that show.
