My Facebook account was hacked this morning. Kind of odd I think that it happened to Dcontroversal on his twitter account and then me on my Facebook.

Im on my iPad, which is ok. This is not a virus, but something called key strokes. I don't understand it yet, not wise in computer stuff.

I think my problem was from my sons account being hacked for all our phones were affected. My son makes his living through the phone. Was the most odd thing I've ever experienced. Was similar to a technician in the computer moving all files, pictures and chats around. I couldn't do anything, not even log out.

Theres a program that one can download to both computer and phone that will guard them from this. If anyone needs this, and wants to know what it is, pm me. I don't want to give whoever any unnecessary info.
 
When someone hacks an account, one of the first thing they do is change the password so that the original owner of that account cannot log in, which then prevents the rightful owner of that account to do anything to prevent whatever the hacker decides to do with your account. They may even change the email address associated with the account, so that you cannot contact site admin to have them email a new password to you. In effect, you have lost all control of the account. Keystroke software allows others to register every key when you enter your password, which is one of the ways they may have gotten your password in the first place. (For you, when you enter the password, it shows up as stars [hidden] but for them they see every character.) A keystroke scrambler helps foil a hacker's attempts to discover your password in such a way.
 
I think Facebook let you choose 3 of your closest friend on your friendlist in case something like this happened..
have you choose them? if so, do you still remembered who??

my friend's account on ig been hacked and she can get it back :) i know ig and fb different.. but try to contact fb and tell them details :)
 
What I have is if anyone other browser attempts to open my facebook, they send a number to my phone and I have to enter it to get in. I was hacked a few years back and there was pics sent to my friends that were porn in nature. And then one of the ministers said that there was in appropriate talk to him. He said he knew it wasn't me. Was glad for that.

The problem though is this might of happened through Christianchat too. I sent a pm to Robocop and am waiting for an answer. Does anyone remember my asking if they saw a bar at the bottom of their page while on not by works thread, that was inviting us to share christianchat to facebook and other popular sites? This was the evening before last. I did share it to Facebook and to pinpoint. Pinpoint? Does that sound right? Am a bit tired now.

I went ahead and shared it. I hope it wasn't hacked this way. First my phone had numbers changed around. I have this program on it now and it's ok. The computer seems to be ok too now. Running the software. Not going to facebook on the computer though until I know it's really ok.

You are welcome Stones! I am hardly a computer genius, but I have learned a few things over the years I have been online, plus, my daughter had an account hacked multiple times on a site where we were both members, and she had been using a keystroke scrambler to try to prevent it. What a nightmare that was for her :( Those share buttons you mentioned are on every page (they show up for me on the right hand side of the page :)).

I don't know. But I got fed up with Facebook awhile ago, there's so many catfish, scamers, and crazy people on there. I had no idea that my phone number could be seen by everyone who looked at my profile, I had all shorts of people texting and calling me. I go on every now and then just to check on a few friends and family.

I gave it up when I was accused of doing drugs because I spoke of chocolate covered expresso beans as magic beans and how good they light you up.....by very self righteous church members I might add.........and even a few days ago got a warning from twitter that my account had been accessed from Illinois while I was 100 miles away in Missouri.....and that was the straw that broke the camel's back.....to many false accusations.
 
Keystrokes. It simply means they have a virus that makes a record of every key you press. They are recording your keystrokes. So this would mean whatever computer you were using to log into Facebook has/had a keystroke recorder.
 
so many minions out there, trying to suck the life out of everyone,
especially those who belong to Jesus!...
