Welcome to CC and nice to meet you. I just watched a Father Brown episode with a person named Jago. Great examples of faith are from Moses, Abraham, Daniel and many others in the Bible, even Job. Faith in my case is trusting God in everything I do, that when I pray over something and esp have a Scripture to stand on, God will be in charge. This would be a good thing to post in one of the general forums here. God bless you!

You asked what I believe to be a very important question (what does the word "faith" really mean and in what ways has it touched our lives?), but like @Subhumanoidal & @TabinRivCA just mentioned, it's a question that should be asked again on a different board than this one. Quickly however, I agree with @TabinRivCA & @Adstar, that faith involves more than simply believing ~in~ God, it also involves ~believing Him~, so much so, in fact, that we willingly choose to surrender the reins of our lives to Him, believing/trusting that He loves us and always wants the very best for us .. e.g. John 3:16, and that He always knows what is best for us too, ~far~ better than we could ever hope to ourselves.
We also trust that He will fulfill all of the wondrous promises that He made to us in the Bible (especially concerning our salvation), ones like He makes to us here .. John 5:24; Romans 10:9-10, and that He is always both willing and able to do so .. cf Romans 4:20-21 (see below).
