To believe anything we have to hear about it

“For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?

and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:12-14, 16-17‬ ‭

The concept is if you don’t first hear something it’s impossible to believe it and act in that faith because you don’t I ow what it is your supposed to believe until you hear it, then your equipped to believe whatever it is

So you have a requirement for the word to be preached to people in order that they can hear what it is and believe it

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.

So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16, 19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

belief means that we hear what the gospel actually is saying to the believers of Jesus and we believe that.

So this kind o fab a word is a word of faith it’s Jesus telling us what will save us and inviting us to believe him and be saved

“preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; “
An example of this happening after Peter received the Holy Ghost when the church was really beginning to take root and grow

“Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

…This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

( now those that had been rejecting Jesus some of them had now believed after he rose up )

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:22-24, 32-33, 36-42‬ ‭KJV‬‬

these people heard and believed what Peter was preaching about Jesus who they had rejected and crucified , they heard about Jesus rising from the dead , ascending to heaven offering the Holy Ghost and then they heard “

“repent and be baptized in Jesus name for remission of sins and you will receive the Holy Ghost this promise is to you and all that God will call “

And the ones who heard that and believed it got baptized because they believed “ it’s for remission of my sins in Jesus name “

An example of baptism being of faith is when you first believe what the Bible says baptism means and the reason believers get baptized in Jesus name is all true

when you first hear the word of God regarding a subject in this case baptism and then You believe what you heard it’s then tbat you can act on that faith

the Bible teaches us a lot about what baptism means , why we do it , this is meant for us to hear about and believe and partake of like those in the example

no one was saying “ listen Peter I believe in Jesus but baptism is a meaningless ritual “ of course they wouldn’t be saying that they were the hearers and believers of what the preacher Peter was saying about the lord Jesus and also baptism for remission of sins

the point of this is we are meant to be the ones who hear the gospel and believe the gospel not so much the ones who are meant to debate against the gospel.

and explain why the gospel isnt actually true or why nothing the Bible says we need to do or not do is relevant to our salvation ect

if we would study the things that Jesus and his disciples taught in scripture we would have faith moreso than if we reject what they say and then pitch our own version of the subject

God bless you your appreciated thanks for the fellowship and kind words some of you have shared with me over the past couple years here
