These are references to show Lucifer wanting to be exalted high up.
So high as to even be in the darkness high above everything like the darkness above us.
And above the stars as shining brightly above the angels.
And the mount of the congregation up high as a person on a mountain above people on the ground.
Isa 14:4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!

The Bible says Babylon will never have physical dominion again but their life was prolonged for a season and time.
Which their ways are still on earth which they represent human religion, the occult, and the kingdom of man.
The beast kingdom is Babylon in spirit.
A person either belongs to the kingdom of God or Babylon the kingdom of man.
The antichrist will resurrect the Babylonian system but worse which he is of the occult and does not believe in a personal God.
And his religion exalts people.
When Lucifer works in the world as the antichrist the people of the world will follow him which God will send them strong delusion to do so.
When the antichrist is defeated the world will realize the antichrist is as weak as them and not the person they thought he was.
Which the false prophet did miracles to convince the people that the antichrist evolved to be spiritual, and greater, and gave this power to the false prophet.
So the world will think he is great but they are lying wonders.

God will cut off the name of Babylon.
But since Babylon's life was prolonged for a season and time and the beast kingdom is Babylon in spirit then their name has not been cut off yet.
Rev 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
Rev 12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Rev 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
Rev 18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

Babylon falls when Jesus puts down the world.
1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.
2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Dan 11:36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

The new age christianity that interprets the Bible and religions according to the occult and evolution, and people are going to evolve to be spiritual, and greater, and Jesus became an ascended master among others, and there is no personal God, but they honor the God of forces the power of nature, and the New Age Christ is the next world teacher.
The time will come that people will not want to hear the truth of the Bible but want to hear it according to the new age.
It is the religion of the antichrist as he tries to unite the religions saying they are compatible.
When the New Age Christ starts working in the world he will push the agenda of the new age to get people away from the truth and prepare the world to accept him when he claims to be God.
