Yes, from beginning to end we are commanded to honor our parents. Some of us wonder exactly how to do that. If my dad was a murderer, I could hardly bless what he was doing. I finally arrived at the notion that honoring my parents meant that I would speak as well of them as possible. They probably deserve that from me. If they were still alive, I imagine I would show them as much respect as possible. That doesn't mean I would be wonderful to them if they were being nasty to me. It just means I would treat them with as much respect as I could, under the circumstances.

That was then. This is now: For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ Matthew 10:35–36 (NKJV)

Surely we are in the latter days. More and more of us can relate to what Noah experienced.

these 'last days/times' are definitely upon us...we must put all of ourselves, as much as
we can, to become closer and closer to our Saviour, for this is what He Commands of us...

For God, there is no "then" and "now" that sees His creation as having different principles. God is eternal, God does not change with time as we do.

We see this principle in the ten commandments. The first commandment is to love your God. It comes before any other human is spoken of. Christ is God, and Christ is eternal. If we create enmity between any of our family it is still against God's guidance except, as this scripture is pointing out, it would mean putting them before God.

Don't worry. SerpentDove is banned because that's all she did -- tried to teach that which is opposite of what the Bible says.

But, while I have this chance, (you came back), I'd like to ask you a favor. Would you mind writing you post a bit bigger than that first post? Font size, not word length. My eyes are so bad, I need a special pair of glasses to read on my computer, instead of using either side of my bifocals. (Otherwise I cause criks in my neck from using the bottom half of my bifocals. lol) I think your first post was even smaller font than usual on here, and usual is a bit tough for me too, but at least it doesn't hurt to try. :o
