But as an AMERICAN you have to understand that in AMERICA we appreciate differences and don't condone laws based solely on or in support of only religious grounds. First off, no, they don't teach family values at all in school. Ever. But if a class is doing some kind of family-based project, and a child has gay parents, it is ILLEGAL for a teacher to say "that's not a family" to that student. And the teacher should be fired and have her license revoked if she does do something like that. There's no reason to bring religion into schools. Sure, religious schools, that's fine, but not public schools. It is downright wrong to censure a gay student from voicing his or her opinion just because they are gay.
