I need prayer for patience and guidance and strength. I know the enemy likes to see my mad or upset so I do my best not to be that way. I have faith Jesus will guide me.
So my grandson is an immature 19 year old about to have his first baby in a few months. He is so disrespectful, rude and says hurtful things. I raised him because his father was not too good, he was out creating multiple families and’s getting arrested for sex with a minor so we didn’t really want him around and his mother (my daughter) is hardly around., had him and his twin at a young age and was immature herself. He was fine till he was 17 then he got in touch with his dad and the charge began. He tells me he doesn’t want his mother in his kids life or any of our other family, that he chooses he only wants his father and his fathers girlfriend and uncle (basically their family) in his child’s life along with the mother of his child’s family. I know it’s his child and his choice but to say he thinks his father and his fathers gf and her family is good enough to be in his child’s life but his mom and his family in our side isn’t, really breaks my heart because I’ve done so much for him and still do. I feel his dad and that side of his dads gf family are putting things into his head but I’m trying not to let the enemy get his way so I turn to prayer and pray Jesus sees us through this. I honestly don’t know what to do

Very sad that he's already using his child as a pawn. Hopefully he sees the error of his way when the baby is born. If you see him as a screw up (which is probably true) he's not going to want to be around you. Verses his dad who probably can't judge him based on his own actions.

I've seen it play out a lot. I would try the be happy than right approach if you really want a relationship with him. He will make a lot of mistakes when the baby arrives. Give him positive things he's doing if there are any. Offer to help with his baby if you can. I mean hopefully his mother will help the most. Can't imagine having a baby at 19 no matter how mature.
