I've had enough.
I am very sensitive because I have suffered through severe depression, physical and verbal abuse, racism, bullying and low self-esteem. This is really not a place for someone like me. Maybe there is no place for someone like me, who knows.
Thank you to all my great friends here who I will miss dearly. If you want to stay in touch, please PM me.
"Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD will be a light to me."
Micah 7:8
goodbye.
I’ve been pondering these things….
Can we say that just because most of us have made similar mistakes in the past that it is okay to continuously repeat them? Should we not be striving for something better, something higher? If we bring up the past mistakes of others have we truly forgiven them as we should have? Would we want God to do that with us?
Why would christians want a forum to train us to harden our hearts toward one another? Why would we want to be de-sensitized? Doesn’t the world try to do that enough as it is? Do we really want a place that many of us consider to be a sanctuary from the world to be just like any other place on the planet?
Should we not attempt to use the negatives that occur for positive change? If we don’t, isn’t the pain for nothing?
Just seems like a waste to me...I dunno.... Maybe it's my INFJ thingie![]()

without derailing this thread too much I just wanted to point out what I've seen on this and why I think you are asking the impossible.
The core issue is language, not attitude or lack of love or concern. Language provides many areas of ambiguity. It isn't a matter of hardening your heart, but rather of ackowledging that there is ambiguity and seeking to understand. the english language, language in general can't be fixed here on these forums.
When words have different meanings; when words have different associations for each person, it is simply impossible to avoid.
The best we can do is what, I believe, you called becoming desensitize; what I would call being slow to judge. If I wasn't on my phone I'd lookup a proverb, but guess my own words will have to suffice!![]()

So basically I am being called a self-centered, egotistical brat.
.
You beat me to my obligatory pointing out of your MBTI type. This is good though, it is a continual affirmation of the fact I am an INTJ and not an INFJ as I, at times, suspect. So thank you for saving me from a possible identity crisis
Kidding of course.
I agree to a certain extent, but I think this forum has accomplished that goal as far as the reality of human depravity will allow.
This forum, for all its warts, is a special place on the internet. An oasis for those who normally jump on forums normally populated by socialists and atheists. Even if you go to compare it with other Christian forums, it is still special. I think this is largely because people like you populate it.
Zero,
I'm not sure if this thread existed before I sent you that private message yesterday. If it did, I certainly didn't see it. So the point is, you can't deny it was interesting timing for such a message. God leads and sees things coming before we do. There's something to that.
God bless you in whatever your final decision may end up being. There's no shame in changing your mind. Also, I appreciate your honesty about yourself and how you are.
