Which of the Apostles is your favorite and why (not limited to the first 12, i.e. Paul)?

John. Besides just his incredible character in the Bible, really his writing is amazing. From a fisherman that was disdained as uneducated by the elite of his time to being made by Jesus into what is easily the most influential writer of all of history for his authorship of Gospel of John, the three Letters of John, and of course the Book of Revelation. Even religion aside John wrote the most influential books ever written in all human history, no one in all history comes close to John's influence on literature. Additionally John's writings serve as the basis for the 3 primary doctrines that all Christians must believe; the Apostle's Creed, the trinity doctrine, and the veracity of the Bible.

I like Peter's temperament, he is my favorite.
He walked on water, was a family man and has a lot of characteristics i identify with.

Funny enough I tried to make a bible discussion topic about my favorite woman of the Bible when I first joined. Don't think I'll be making another topic for a while.

Yeah and he said "oops" a lot. I find that very relatable.

I checked your post history because I was curious what happened in this thread. I couldn't find it. Did you start that thread under another nick?

Also, did you start it in Bible Discussion Forum? That will make you not want to start any conversation with anybody ever again. :p

Here is the thread if you're interested. I did manage to finish the story I guess so I won't complain too much. I think the Bible Discussion Forum is okay, it is one of the better places on this forum along with the News. I think just simply maybe the study was too advanced since most the topics tend to be generally about the milk of Christianity and so not everyone can bear the meat yet.

She is my favorite woman in the Bible though yes the thread was more about a specifc advanced biblical theme of her life in both artwork and the scriptures.

John: His Gospel (the Gospel of love) is the full presentation of the Gospel of Jesus. It also identifies, defines and declares the Holy Trinity.

Paul: His Epistles are a guide to the Gospel of Jesus, and contain much information on how to live a Christ-like life. (so much more than these two)

I love John. But Peter is my main man. He denied Christ three times, and three times Christ gave him a chance to redeem himself. And he still got irritated. A little slow on the uptake, hotheaded and stubborn. I can relate.
