M, how on earth do you type with those long nails? lol... I hate long nails, I keep mine short..

I am happier when my nails are on the long side :D I am a two finger typist, so only my index fingers get used, and I can see the wear on them as an edge is slowly worn down on each of them over time haha :) Then I will file the end a little trying to keep the curve a bit more even, but generally as I said before, I try not to mess with them much unless something like a break happens or a chunk is taken out of one of them somehow, and I especially never use a metal nail file on them... only emery for filing, or if I am cutting them right back, then I will use nail clippers. If something major needs to be done to one nail I may cut them all down and start over so they are all a fairly even length, as it really only takes about eight weeks for my mails to get to a longish length from being short.

Also my thumb nails usually break more often than my fingernails might, so they don't usually get much longer than they are now. :) I know some people prefer short nails and some people can't grow their nails at all and then there are folks like me that have killer nails who like them long :D Still, I can't be bothered to paint them very often, as it is so time consuming on both sides of it: applying and removing. Still, I think I may add polish Friday night for Thanksgiving weekend next weekend, and have my daughter take another picture :):):) Hopefully nothing will break in the meantime LOL :rolleyes:
 
I keep my nails shortish as I'm a 10 finger typist.

My nails grow like heck I have to file them every week. It's due
to the prescription calcium supplements I have to take (due to hypo para thyroidism,
its not a thyroid problem it's a para thyroid problem - it controls calcium absorbation
in the body mine doesnt work so I have to take lots of calcium to maintain my blood
calcium levels).

Anyway if you want fast growing nails (and hair) try getting more calcium into
your diet. :)
 
If I was a rock star and 10 of my band members held me down and paint my nails.... I would whisper to them "Gunmetal grey please..." :eek:
