Hello Everyone. What are your favourite Psalm chapters? I enjoy this book as do many others. But, Psalms 23 and 139 really come to mind when I think of this book.

I love Psalm 43, Psalm 23 and my favourite is Psalm 71. But I always get something amazing and profound out of all of them.

I practically live in the Psalms. I have the Bible on CD and, generally speaking, I listen to the Psalms every morning as I'm driving to work and even on non-work days. Although I find great comfort in them in that my own life has pretty much been a life of trials and betrayals and many Psalms deal with the same, I'd have to say that my favorite Psalm is Psalm 2 in that it prophetically told of Jesus' rejection, crucifixion, resurrection from the dead and His second coming during which He will rule over the earth. Yeah, I can never get enough of JESUS!

"And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." (Luke 24:44-47)

My favorite Psalms Chapters are: Ch.1 thru Ch.150

Psalms 150
[SUP]1 [/SUP]Praise ye the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary:
praise him in the firmament of his power.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]Praise him for his mighty acts:
praise him according to his excellent greatness.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Praise him with the sound of the trumpet:
praise him with the psaltery and harp.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Praise him with the timbrel and dance:
praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Praise him upon the loud cymbals:
praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord.
Praise ye the Lord.

Psalms 131
[SUP]1 [/SUP]Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty:
neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother:
my soul is even as a weaned child.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Let Israel hope in the Lord from henceforth and for ever.

I am intrigued by Psalm 88, but I am not quite sure why, since it is easily the saddest Psalm ever written (it is almost depressing). But since God ordained it to be part of the Scriptures, I am sure it is meant to be a blessing to some people in some kind of way.

I recently put together this video for Psalm 88.
