The message for today is about the “fear of the Lord”. As it is very long, tomorrow I will send the second part.
The main message of Jesus for us today is “Fear God”. But, what does “fear of the Lord” mean? What are the caracteristics of it?
The commandments of Jesus aren’t mixed with other substances (even if the substance is precious or value) and His fear is clean, that is, don’t have dirtyl That is to say, the fear of the Lord consists in avoiding harming people, as well as all likeness of the evil (1Thess 5.22).
The fear of the Lord needs to be learnt and understood. After all, it isn’t for us to be afraid of Him, but to fear sadden His heart.
Nevertheless, how can we ward off what displease Him if we don’t stave off what hamper us of know Him better (Ephesians 5.16,17)?
Observe that we can’t just love the good. We can’t come to terms with anything that go against our neighbor. We can’t feel settled in any place where people is ridiculed or harmed. We need to come up with what make our neighbor closer to Jesus.
Considering that the Holy Spirit make us a fountain of life (John 7.37-39), so we are made a fountain of fear of the Lord. Most of the people think that life is revelry, elation, etc. Nevertheless, to live is the ability to fear the Lord Jesus and, thus, to be made useful for people with who we get in touch.
On the contrary of the “living” sources of the world that make us to go toward the death and to slip our mind from the paths of life (Proverbs 2.19), the fear of the Lord make us fountain of life that leads toward the true life (John 4.13,14).
So, call off all gaiety that deviate your attention from Christ and have a day fraught of the goodness of Jesus toward people that He put in your way.
- “saying with a great voice, Fear God and give glory to Him! For the hour of His judgment has come. And worship Him who made the heaven and the earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” (Revelation 14.7).

- “*Hate the evil*, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate. It may be that the Lord Jehovah of Hosts will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.” (Amos 5.15).
