Tabernacles is a rehearsal for the millennium. It is not fulfilled yet. That is correct. I'll get to the rehearsal part in time as long as people seem to be interested. The church of today should be teaching this. In many ways they are, but might be failing in making a clear connection.

I don't doubt this at all but where is it said in scripture?

Ram omers

And on the fifteenth day of the seventh month ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work, and ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord seven days: And ye shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord; thirteen young bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year; they shall be without blemish: And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals unto every bullock of the thirteen bullocks, two tenth deals to each ram of the two rams, Numbers 29:12-14

So what is it about the two omers offered with the ram? A ram represents a patriarchal predominant leader, with attributes of physical strength, relating it to Abraham. At this point in Biblical history, this is what Israel saw in retrospect, understanding the fulfillment of the promise they had been given through their patriarch Abraham. When the Feast of Tabernacles was first endorsed, Moses was now the leader that led Israel through the desert. Both Aaron and Moses were of the tribe of Levi, and Aaron was given direction from Moses, and Moses was given direction from God. Two rams of sorts.

After entering, and subduing the Promised Land, the descendants of Levi were distributed throughout the other twleve tribes to administer the sacrificial ordinances. They had no inheritance of land to sustain themselves, so they lived on the tithes given from the tribe they served.

Numbers 18:20-21
says; “And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I am thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel. And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.”

I hadn’t given much thought to this in years past, but it is clear that the tribe of Levi was actually divided into two parts. One part was descendants of Levi, and the other was the descendants of Aaron, but both were Levites.

Numbers 18:26, and 28
is a confirmation of this when God tells Moses “Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe. Thus ye also shall offer an heave offering unto the LORD of all your tithes, which ye receive of the children of Israel; and ye shall give thereof the LORD'S heave offering to Aaron the priest.”

Nothing goes to waste with God’s economics. The heave offering then becomes an offering up, and not a trickle down economics. Paul writes in 1 Timothy 5:17-18 confirming this two fold ministry. “Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.”

This honor is a value by analogy, to esteem, especially of the highest degree, or the dignity itself, so in the process of giving to the Lord, we contribute to the sustenance of His elect. This will be vital during times of tribulation, particularly as described by Jesus in Matthew 24.

In summary to the 2 omers, it is God's words that pass on from Him to the ministers of the truth. God's words dare not change as the patriarchs administer the truth, so the "omers" (like that of the Bullock) are clearly God's everlasting words, and neither Moses' nor Aaron's words.

Now that Jesus is our High Priest, He also issues God's words in completeness and perfection
to His beloved true church.

"
Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things." John 8:28

"For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? John 5:46-47

The [good] hidden leaven added in by measure to leaven the whole......

Matthew 13:33
Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

I believe this is incorrect, and it should be [bad] leaven that is in that parable ,
like a bad apple spoils the whole batch,a study on unleavened is needed.

The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world;

rev. 12 the good church[woman] In Acts 7:37-38 we learn that the congregation
of Israel was called the church in the wilderness, in the days of Moses.
Psalms 78:15,Numbers 20:10,1 Corinthians 10:1

The word translated congregation in the Old Testament is ekklesia in the Septuagint
the same identical Greek word that is always translated church in the New Testament.

Israel was both church and state. for years ruled by a system of judges,
over fifties, hundreds, thousands, later having a king.“and upon this rock”

(Greek inspired original word, petra, meaning a ledge or shelf
of rock or a crag) “I will build my church …” (Matthew 16:18).

in rev. 17 the bad [woman] church

Then Jesus added: “And I say also unto thee, That thou art

In book of Revelation are pictured two churches, One, pictured in the 12th chapter,
portrays the true Church of God, small in number, reduced through persecution and
martyrdom, but obedient to God’s law, and hated by Satan.

The other, in the 17th chapter, called “Mystery, Babylon the Great,
the Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth” .
the Babylonian mystery religion steeped in “iniquity"

does three measures of meal mean one third?
not sure but there was one third bad angeles also

The patriarchal leader is given two-tenths omers representing their responsibility to instruct and govern according to the commandments God, including the observance the Sabbath. I do not endorse the Gregorian calendar in relation to Sabbath days, so I prefer that this not become a focus that leads to distortion of the truth.

In reality, the Sabbath days are days set aside for communication for reflecting on the glory, and grace of our Creator. Exodus 16:22-26 shows us the responsibility of Israel’s rulers. “And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses. And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning. And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein. And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the LORD: to day ye shall not find it in the field. Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.”

In Hebrews 13:16, 2 Corinthians 10:15, and Hebrews 11:1, scripture continues attaching convocation (communication) with the substance of hope called “faith.” “But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased, but having hope when your faith is increased.
Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men's labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly, (because) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

It’s not a matter of “give and take.” It’s a matter of “take and give.” The patriarchs such as Abraham received two omers. One was the promise of a nation by his seed, and the other was the promise that his barren wife would conceive, and bear a son to carry out this promise. His faith was increased when he witnessed the promised birth of Isaac, and that faith gave him the hope of a land promised that he would never see.

Moses, (Mosheh) on the other hand had been saved by the divine providence of God when his mother put him in a basket, and floated him down the river. In the Egyptian language, “Moses” means “Drawing out of the water, rescued, and law giver.”

In the New Testament Jesus and Paul can be likened unto Moses and Aaron.

In the New Testament Jesus and Paul can be likened unto Moses and Aaron.
Deuteronomy 18:15-19
15 The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
[SUP]
16 [/SUP]According to all that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

[SUP]17 [/SUP]And the Lord said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

Guess who? Not much guessing needed I reckon.

I believe this is incorrect, and it should be [bad] leaven that is in that parable ,
like a bad apple spoils the whole batch,a study on unleavened is needed.

Notice in that parable Jesus says the Kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven.....Matthew 13:33 "Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened."

And we know the Kingdom of heaven is not bad or evil like the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy, false doctrine and sinful behavior.

The mystery of both the leaven of the world (wild) and the good leaven(from heaven above), or meal that removes the "death" is also symbolized here....

2 Kings 4:38-41[SUP]38 [/SUP]And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets.
[SUP]39 [/SUP]And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not.
[SUP]40 [/SUP]So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.
[SUP]41 [/SUP]But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot."

In this we see how(wild) strange doctrine, which is of the world is like a strange woman, or like strange fire being offered before the Lord, which also the sons of Aaron and Israel found out to be a grave error which caused death. The wild vine is like the opposite of the good vine, therefore the "wild" vine is like the bad leaven that brings forth death. But Jesus is the good vine, and His words are like the good leaven that removes the bad leaven of lies and hypocrisy with His words of Truth and Life. He is able to graft the "wild" Olive branches into His good Olive tree, He is able to purge out the old leaven and make you a new lump in Him.

So I believe my initial interpretation was correct about the Kingdom of heaven being like the good leaven in that parable in Matthew 13:33.

This is correct. There is much to follow about the "unleavened bread" in sacrifices during the feast.

So we know that the “Feast of Unleavened Bread” begins on the 15th day that began when the sun went down on the 14[SUP]th[/SUP] day, and at midnight when God passed over to witness the blood on the doorposts. God reaffirms this feast in Exodus 23:15 saying; “Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty.” This is in relation to being born again when the world's leaven was not to be used in order for Israel to get out of Egypt with haste, leaven (yeast) representing the world values. This is a clear comparison to separating ourselves from the values of the world, and leave them behind.

These days of "Unleavened Bread" in the 1st month compare precisely with the “Feast of Tabernacles” in the 7th month. We know that the Passover lamb was eaten, after its blood was put on the doorposts as God passed over that night. The feast of unleavened bread ended at the beginning of the 22nd day of the first month which is a Sabbath. The 15th day of both the first and seventh months are the beginning of the “Feast of Unleavened Bread” in the first month, and the “Feast of Tabernacles” in the seventh month, both lasting for seven days.

In comparison between leavened and unleavened see the "peace offering" with thanksgiving.

Besides the cakes, he shall offer for his offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offerings. Leviticus 7:13

In Leviticus 23:5-6, and Leviticus 23:34 we see the parallel of the time sequence, keeping in mind that Passover in this instance is the lamb, not the day. “In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD'S Passover, And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD.”

I don't doubt this at all but where is it said in scripture?

Zechariah 14:16-19
[SUP]16 [/SUP]And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the Lord will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

In verse 2 of Leviticus 23, the Hebrew word for 'feast' is 'moed'. In Hebrew thought, a moed is likened unto an appointment. It's as if God Himself was taking time off from His duties to meet with us. It's sort of like a date - a special time between God and His people. For those of us who are married, we know how important it is to be there when you've "got a date", and we would do practically anything not to miss it. A study of Biblical history will show that many major events took place on one or more of the 'moedim' (the plural form of 'moed').

Also in verse 2, we find the word 'convocation' which is translated from the Hebrew word 'mikrah'. This Hebrew word implies a reading, presumably of a historical event. It comes from another word that can mean 'rehearsal'. The Biblical text is very clear that the Sabbath is a rehearsal of the seventh day of creation - when God rested from His work. The moedim are likewise rehearsals of God's 7000 year plan, culminating with the marriage of The Messiah to His bride.

Food science here... LEAVEN is NOT bad... until it GOES BAD. This is shown in the Passover, unleavened bred was eaten <go without leaven, throw out leaven> then begin afresh with NEW LEAVEN.... notice anything???

Just-me, the details so far are excellent. At this point, a brief summary of each point and how it relates to Christ would be helpful. This is especially true for any guests who might be reading along.

Thanks for discussing this topic. I'll have more later.

The Lord does some role playing of sorts with Moses and Aaron, which was to be a shadow of things to come between Father and Son. Jesus is shown as the High Priest in scripture, just as Aaron was in the High Priest position. Moses would be playing the role of God and Aaron would be in the likeness of the mouth piece for God, or Moses per God's instruction. Notice what the Lord tells Moses here....

Exodus 4:10-17 "And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.[SUP]11 [/SUP]And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord?
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs."

Notice Jesus declares His words were not His own but the Fathers.....

John 14:10
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

John 14:24
He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

John 12:49
For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

Pretty cool. You see the same type of role playing between Father and Son in Abram and Melchizedek as well.

Food science here... LEAVEN is NOT bad... until it GOES BAD.

Same with salt, as many of the Lords sacrifices were to be seasoned with salt.....

Matthew 5:13
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Here's one on bad leaven.....

How much leaven does it take to leaven the whole Lump? Some believe they can leaven their lump with as much leaven as they wish, and still be unleavened. But others who truly understand know a little leaven can leaven the whole lump.

Matthew 16:6 “Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.”

Matthew 16:11-12 “
How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the
leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.”

Luke 12:1 "In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy."

Galatians 5:7-9 “
Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
[SUP]8 [/SUP]This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.[SUP]9 [/SUP]A little
leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

1 Corinthians 5:6-8
“Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that
a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?[SUP]7 [/SUP]Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:[SUP]8 [/SUP]Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”

Just-me, the details so far are excellent. At this point, a brief summary of each point and how it relates to Christ would be helpful. This is especially true for any guests who might be reading along.

Thanks for discussing this topic. I'll have more later.

1.The flour of an omer measurement represents the Words of God in relation to the ten commandments or in Hebrew the 10 sayings, or the 10 words of God reflecting Exodus chapters 20 through 23.

2.The Bullock represents Jesus Christ (Son of God)* But so as not to be confusing 13 bullocks are sacrificed on the 1st day.

I will get into the progression of events later, but at this point it will suffice to say that Jesus came to save us from apostasy, depravity, and rebellion which the number 13 represents.
Each day, the number of bullocks decreases by 1 bullock offered, and I will cover that later also. Just to look forward to the 7 bullocks offered on the 7th day, 7 represents resurrection, spiritual completeness, and the Father's perfection, all through Christ Jesus. Please be patient with me. I'm only a lamb, which we also will cover next. (smile)

3.The 3 omers for the bullock represent divine completeness and perfection in Christ.

4.The 2 rams represent the patriarchs in God's divine plan, being Moses and Aaron. The rams also represent Jesus in the flesh (son of man)* and Paul.

5. The 2 omers for the ram represent the passing on of God's words to His children via, what was to become the Levitical priesthood. Moses and Aaron did this for Israel, and usually Aaron received his instructions through Moses, but all was from the mouth of God Almighty. Jesus, taking the place of the Levitical priesthood, did this for the Jews, and Paul did this for the Gentiles.
One thing that I failed to mention is that Moses and Elijah were at the mount of transfiguration, representing the law and the prophets, being 2 rams with 2 omers.

A little bit goes a long way. Praise God that the good stuff in the Kingdom increases too. :)

>>>The moedim are likewise rehearsals of God's 7000 year plan, culminating with the marriage of The Messiah to His bride.<<<

Excuse me:o. I have an unresolved difficulty... it looks like this might be a good time to ask. THE BRIDE... can you please explain the bride. I was taught the CHURCH was the bride in replacement theology, then it was the NEW JERUSALEM, another time ISREAL. The text of the seven virgins are the "churches" and then Jesus speaks of the wedding guests (believers), because we can't be "sons" and the daughter- in- law at the same time. I have never resolved this issue and... to be honest... have avoided much revelation study because it is HARD to understand. Could someone address this?

I only can give you my opinion. All that I read from Scripture tells me that the Israel of the New Covenant is the bride of Christ being the true church and certainly not any particular denomination, including "non-denominational" churches of today.

The song of Solomon is a good representation of what Jesus sees in His church, and what the true church/bride/Israel sees in Christ Jesus. There are many metaphors in the Song of Solomon, but again, (as I read scriptures) they all have spiritual representations, because the flesh is a parable of sorts. IMO :)

Israel is Judah and Ephraim being one stick in God's hands. Israel represents Jesus and His bride together, being Judah and Ephraim as the bride. Israel means "He will rule as God." As you know, Jacob's name was changed to Israel. The New Testamant church is not a replacement for Israel. Israel is actually the real church. Semantics might get in the way here. Scripture:

"
And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel." Matthew 2:6
"But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting." Micah 5:2

"
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom." Matthew 25:1

10 represents Testimony, law, Christ's and our responsibility. The oil represents the Holy Spirit. The testimony was given to all 10, but only 5 had enough to endure, and the other 5 didn't. Now keep in mind (at this point) that Jesus taught the disciples how to pray. "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." That doesn't mean that all professing Christians will have enough oil.

The half that are left are only 5 which represents Grace, God's goodness, and believe it or not, the first 5 books of the Bible called the Pentateuch.

Jerusalem is the dwelling "place of peace" John 14:2

Summary; IMO remember 1 Corinthians 13:12

The true church is Israel and also the bride. In respect to the virgins and sons, there is no gender in heaven for the human race is called "man" whether male or female. Matthew 22:30 At the same time I think, in reference to the marriage supper, that the 144,000 are groomsmen. They are virgins also.
