Jesus is the new tabernacle, high priest, Passover lamb, first fruit.

Jesus is the bringer of doctine, blowing the trumpet as it were to hear the Word of God. Jesus blew the trumpet of war (see post about Revelation's seven trumpets, destroyi g the temple and putting all Israel under siege for failure to heed the warning and call and logic/logos of repentance and right living.

To "do this in memory of me" was not only a Passover lamb activity but also the angel of death warning. It was first Abraham and Melchizadek that broke bread and drank wine after a return from battle. Jesus is Melchizadekian, a new high priest.

which things do you think Christ hasn't fulfilled?

well I explained the trumphet festivel allready hope you read.

a day of Atonement is a mystery to most
we will be [at-one-ment] with God.

when we give account of our lives.
he will start at the church first.

the day when we will meet our maker face to face,
and will see him as he really is, because we will be like him.

Has that happened yet?

Isaiah 66:8 (KJV)

Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things?
Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day?

or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed,
she brought forth her children.

Which are a shadow of things to come;
but the body "is" of Christ.

things to come is future tence, wrote after Christ was risen,

also the word "is" was added, was not in any origanal text.

shortened up would read like this,

do not let anyone tell you about Gods holy days but the body of Christ.

wouldn't you be adding to the scripture if you try to make Yom Kippur a day of mystical union?
because reading Leviticus 16 etc. it is very clear that this is the one day that the high priest enters behind the veil, and makes a sacrifice to atone for the sins of the nation Israel.

when Christ died on the cross, His sacrifice paid once and for all for sin - and the veil was torn. surely you don't deny that what He did fulfills the yearly ceremony that was a shadow of that very sacrifice He made?

as far as being one with God - He has given of us His spirit, which remains in us and dwells in us. that is not a work that we wait to see take place, but one one we wait to see the completion of.

You do know that Christ shed His Blood at the Cross in order to forgive the sins of the world, yes? (see 1 Jn. 2)

you yourself say that trumppets is something still in the future.
Israel was devorced because of Sabbath breaking.

as it is written "all Israel will be saved, when? at the last trumpt.
bible says in the future, Israel shall lothe themselves for this sin

Ezekiel 20:21
the children rebelled against me,” continued God, through the Prophet Ezekiel.
“They polluted [MY sabbaths].…” (verse 21).

He scattered them, in national captivity and slavery (verse 23).
“Because they had not executed MY judgments, but had despised MY statutes,
and had polluted MY sabbaths, and their eyes were after their FATHERS’ idols”

“And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries
wherein ye are scattered…with fury poured out. And I will bring you into
the wilderness of the people [coming exodus—Jeremiah 23:7-8],

and there will I plead with you face to face” (Ezekiel 20:34-35).
“Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt,

so will I plead with you, saith the Lord God.… And I will purge out from among you the
rebels, and them that transgress against me… and YE shall know that I am the Lord”
(verses 36-38).

43And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have been defiled;
and ye shall [lothe yourselves] in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed.

44And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have wrought with you for my name's sake,
not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel,
saith the Lord God.

Ezekiel36
21But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned
among the heathen, whither they went. Therefore say unto the house of Israel,

Thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but
for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.

23And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen,
which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that
I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

-
24For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries,
and will bring you into your own land.25Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you,
and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

26A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will
take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

27And I will put my spirit within you, and [cause you to walk] in [my statutes],
and ye[ shall] keep [my judgments], and do them.

28And ye [shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers]; and ye shall be my people,
and I will be your God. 29I will also save you from all your uncleannesses:

and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.
30And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye
shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.

31Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good,
and [shall lothe yourselves] in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.

38As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts;
so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another,
and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

aye, the trumpet that sounds for judgement is yet to come.

but the feast of trumpets, Rosh Hanashah, is not about judgement.

just because there is a trumpet that has not sounded, does not mean that is what Rosh Hanashah was about. the feast of trumpets, per scripture, is a memorial -- and not a memorial of judgement, but of the giving of the old covenant and its law at Sinai.

Christ has indeed ushered in a new covenant - the thing that this old feast memorialized was a shadow of the permanent thing that is found in Christ. it has nothing to do with the coming judgement, and such talk is purely tangential, having no bearing on whether Christ fulfilled this feast.

okay?

and about this other, totally unrelated business of sabbath you want to bring up, the Jews did not break the covenant because they weren't keeping sabbaths. it was their adulterous idolatry. that is very clear, is it not?
the very thing you quoted doesn't say they failed to keep sabbaths -- it says they polluted them, because their hearts were after idols. didn't you read it?

yes that would be Gods holy convocation number one, the passover

much much much more than Passover!!

at Passover, sin was neither covered up nor forgiven. there was no atonement made - not in Egypt, and never by any memorial feast of the thing that happened there. what happened is that the house of Israel was separated from Egypt. so by Christ's cross we are also separated, amen!

but Yom Kippur is about the covering over of sins. how much more has Christ's blood accomplished this, since He has taken our sins away!!

no I do not add to scripture, but stick to it and try to understand.
do you think God made these feasts days for no rime or reason?

these annual days picture the different epochs in the plan of spiritual creation
—mark the dispensations, and picture their meaning. And, as the beginning of our
salvation was wrought by Christ’s death on the cross, so God said,

“This month [in the spring] shall be unto you the beginning of months …”

That The 14th day is the Passover. It is the first of God’s festivals.
In the 15th day is the feast. The seven Days of Unleavened Bread

sorry I was not finished , I need to continue in the meaning of the second feast
and the others also. you know also this takes pages to fill-up and time.
I prefer not to speak unless I can find it in the bible, and it says to

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

there was a wave sheaf offering during the days of U.L.B,
this represented Christ going to heaven to be acepted by our father.

the short of Leviticus 16, now in the symbol of this in Lev. day of atonement
first part this is a offering[Christ] going to heaven to be acepted by our father.

when the priest left and came out of the holy of holys, or when Shiloh comes,
that is when Christ returns from heaven, this happens after the last trumph feast.

and the high priest returning to place the sins finally upon the head of the live goat
represented the return of Christ, who will place the sins He bore on their author,
the devil, and who will send him away alive into [a desolate uninhabited wilderness]

—the “bottomless pit,” or abyss, of Revelation 20:3.
In the 19th chapter of Revelation, we have the prophecy of the Second Coming of Christ.

At the beginning of the 20th chapter, what is to happen?Exactly what the 16th chapter of
Leviticus shows. The devil is sent away—the symbol here used is the “bottomless pit”
symbol of an uninhabited desolate wilderness (Revelation 18:2)—and he is sent there
by a fit man—an angel from heaven. Now the devil is not killed. He does not die.
He is still alive a thousand years later—after the Millennium (Revelation 20:7).

-

“And he shall take the two goats, and present them before the Lord at the door of the
tabernacle of the congregation. And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; the one lot
for the Lord, and the other lot for the scapegoat [margin,Hebrew, Azazel].”

The Comprehensive Commentary has:“Spencer, after the oldest opinions of the Hebrews and Christians, thinks Azazel is the name of the devil, and so Rosen …. The word scapegoat signifies the goat which went away.” The One Volume Commentary says: “The word ‘scapegoat’ in the av is not a translation.” It is merely an interpretation of the supposed meaning by the translators.

True, the English word scapegoat signifies “one who bears blame or guilt for others.”
But scapegoat is an English word, and is not a translation of the Hebrew word Azazel.

The word scapegoat, and the meaning attached to this English word, is not a translation of
the Hebrew word Azazel, and therefore it is not the word inspired originally.

Continues the One Volume Commentary:
“Azazel is understood to be the name of one of those malignant demons.”

-

Christ is the author of our salvation. Jesus took our guilt—our blame
—our sins—upon Himself as an innocent substitutionary sacrifice.

But justice certainly demands that God place right back on the head of the devil
his guilt—not our guilt, but his own guilt—for leading us into sin. We were guilty,
too—and our guilt Christ bore—yet all our sins belong right back on the devil as
his own guilt!

thus at-one-ment is when the devil will be forced into a 7th 1000 year period
of rest from decieving man, again one with our maker.

the devil is still walking around looking for someone to devour.
we are called to come out of this evil worlds ways, but the devil is still decieving it.
And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

its a time when in Isaiah 14:7 (KJV)
The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.

I am out of time for now, but will get back to thread when I can.

happy Feast of Trumpets

we need being reminded of these things:

Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Now if the ministry of death, carved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at Moses’ face because of its glory, which was being brought to an end, will not the ministry of the Spirit have even more glory? For if there was glory in the ministry of condemnation, the ministry of righteousness must far exceed it in glory. Indeed, in this case, what once had glory has come to have no glory at all, because of the glory that surpasses it. For if what was being brought to an end came with glory, much more will what is permanent have glory.

Since we have such a hope, we are very bold, not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not gaze at the outcome of what was being brought to an end. But their minds were hardened. For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away. Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts.

But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed.

Now the Lordis the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another.

For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

(2 Corinthians 3:4-18)

the very thing you quoted doesn't say they failed to keep sabbaths -- it says they polluted them, because their hearts were after idols. didn't you read it?

“Because they had not executed MY judgments, but had despised MY statutes,
and had polluted MY sabbaths, and their eyes were after their FATHERS’ idols”

What were the sins of Jeroboam?

Both houses of Israel were sent into national punishment and banishment
from the Holy Land because they broke God’s Sabbath!

(Jeremiah 29:10), many of the house of Judah returned to the Holy Land
to rebuild the temple, and restore the worship there

The Prophet Nehemiah tells why they had been driven into captive slavery
70 years before(Nehemiah 13:15-18).

The house of Judah was without excuse. They had been warned by the prophets.

“Thus saith the Eternal; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day
neither do ye any work, but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers…
(Jeremiah 17:21-22, 27).

The house of Judah did not heed it.And burned the house of the Eternal, and the king’s house;
and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men, burned he with fire”
(Jeremiah 52:12-13)

WHY Israel Defeated in Leviticus 26: “Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image
to bow down unto it: for I am the Eternal your God. Ye shall keep my sabbaths,
and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Eternal” (verses 1-2).

God promised abundant production and wealth, national peace, and national dominance
that would have led to world dominance (verses 3-13).

But, said God (verses 14-33), if they refused to obey those commandments,
they would suffer sickness and disease, lose all prosperity for 2,520 years,
be invaded, conquered, and driven from their land as slaves to their enemies’ lands.

God made a special eternally binding covenant with them involving the Sabbath
(Exodus 31:12-17). The Sabbath was made the national sign by which the true God
would be identified and known to them, and by which they were to be identified as His people.

After the division into two nations—when the kingdom of Israel made Jeroboam
their king, the first thing this king did was introduce idolatry and Sabbath-breaking.

Ezekiel was given a message from God to the house of Israel(Ezekiel 3:1).

God says, in Ezekiel 20: “Wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt,
and brought them into the wilderness. And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them
my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.

Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them,
that they might know that I am the Lord that sanctify them” (verses 10-12).

“But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness:
they walked not in MY statutes, and they despised MY judgments?…?
and MY sabbaths they greatly polluted?…” (verse 13).

Then God pleaded with their children, a generation later. Notice!

“But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of
your fathers, neither observe THEIR judgments, nor defile yourselves with THEIR idols:
I am the Eternal your God; walk in MY statutes, and keep MY judgments, and do them;

And hallow MY sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you,
that ye may know that I am the Eternal your God” (verses 18-20).

The entire emphasis here is between God’s statutes, judgments and Sabbaths
on the one hand, and their FATHERS’ different sabbaths, statutes and judgments.

the children rebelled against me,” continued God, through the Prophet Ezekiel.
“[T]hey polluted MY sabbaths?…” (verse 21).

He scattered them, in national captivity and slavery (verse 23).

“Because they had not executed MY judgments, but had despised MY statutes,
and had polluted MY sabbaths, and their eyes were after their FATHERS’ idols”

“And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries
wherein ye are scattered?…?with fury poured out. And I will bring you into
the wilderness of the people [coming exodus—Jeremiah 23:7-8],

and there will I plead with you face to face” (Ezekiel 20:34-35).

“Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt,
SO will I plead with you, saith the Lord God?.… And I will purge out from
among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me..
and YE shall know that I am the Lord” (verses 36-38).

43And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein
ye have been defiled; and ye shall lothe yourselves in your own sight
for all your evils that ye have committed.

44And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have wrought with you for
my name's sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your
corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord God.

He says our people, when they are no longer rebellious, who will then be
keeping His Sabbath, shall remember their ways in which they were defiled,
and shall loathe themselves for their Sabbath-breaking!

They were removed out of their land. “For the children of Israel walked in
all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they departed not from them;

Until the Lord removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the
prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day”
(2 Kings 17:22-23).

21For he rent Israel from the house of David; and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king:
and Jeroboam drave Israel from following the Lord, and made them sin a great sin.

For the children of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did;
they departed not from them; 1 Kings 15:30 (KJV)

Because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and which he made Israel sin,
by his provocation wherewith he provoked the Lord God of Israel to anger.
1 Kings 14:16 (KJV)

And he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who did sin,
and who made Israel to sin.

thus at-one-ment is when the devil will be forced into a 7th 1000 year period
of rest from decieving man, again one with our maker.

whatever you want to say about this thing, it has nothing to do with Yom Kippur and the purpose that the scripture says that day, and those ceremonies had.

that purpose that the day the Jews under the old covenant observed, is completely fulfilled by Jesus Christ and His perfect sacrifice that takes away the sin of the world once and sanctifies all who are being made holy, once and for all time.

you may want to read other mystical things into it, and you may want to muse about eschatology.
wonderful.
but that has no bearing whatsoever on whether Christ has made atonement, completely satisfying the thing that was needful and being addressed yearly on Yom Kippur.

furthermore -- He has sent His Spirit as surety to His children, who dwells with us and remains in us. the veil is torn. so "
becoming unified" is not a work that has yet to be begun. it is now, and continues even now. it is exactly the work of the Spirit, today -- and so even this secondary concern that has nothing to do with the purpose of the observance of the day under the old covenant is now being fulfilled.

does that make sense?

all this talk about future things has nothing to do with whether or not Christ dealt with our sins -- and dealing with sin is expressly what the day of atonement was about.
it is finished -- Christ has died and Christ has risen. amen!!

“Because they had not executed MY judgments, but had despised MY statutes,
and had polluted MY sabbaths, and their eyes were after their FATHERS’ idols

"polluted" does not mean "failed to keep"

why were the sabbaths polluted?
because: idolatry.

do you really think Israel would have been "
fine" with God if they had continued in idolatry sunday through friday, so long as on saturdays they didn't do any manual labor?
you really think that was the issue God had with them?

bizarre, if that's what you're trying to say. just bizarre.

I gave faithless Israel her certificate of divorce and sent her away because of all her adulteries. Yet I saw that her unfaithful sister Judah had no fear; she also went out and committed adultery.

(Jeremiah 3:8)

i had to go read this again to see if it actually said "
I gave faithless Israel her certificate of divorce and sent her away because she carried bundles of sticks and kindled fire on saturdays" or "yet I saw that her unfaithful sister Judah had no fear, she also met for congregational worship on sundays"

nope. that is definitely not what it says.
but the scripture says they forgot the Fountain of Living Water, and drank from their own cisterns.

Christ has died and Christ has risen. amen!!

the why does it say they held the day of pentacost after Christ arose,
if the where not there on the actual day of, if he done away with them feasts.

can you explain why God says of Ephraim that they will “dwell in tabernacles,
as in the days of the solemn feast” (Hosea 12:9)

-
“And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against
Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts,

and to keep the feast of tabernacles” why if Christ did away we see it in the future?

And what will happen if they refuse to obey God? (verse 17).
nations will be forced to keep the Feast of Tabernacles, from year to year,
when Christ is ruling with a rod of iron! no rain for punishment.

the festival of Tabernacles—or feast of booths—the sixth festival.
to be kept for seven days, beginning the 15th day of the seventh month

They were wanderers, waiting to inherit the promises of salvation.
He will gather the nations before Him and say: “Inherit the kingdom” (Matthew 25:34).

flesh and blood can not inherit this kingdom

Christ is the author of our salvation. Jesus took our guilt—our blame
—our sins—upon Himself as an innocent substitutionary sacrifice.

amen!!

and the Finisher: He rose from the grave so that we also might be raised in Him in newness of life!!

having died with Him, we know we shall also live with Him!
and having died, we no longer are bound to the ministration of death and the curse of the law, but are made completely sufficient and justified in Him, partakers and ministers of a new covenant that is of Spirit, not carnal commandment!

whoever is not found in Him is condemned by the Law: not one jot or tittle is removed. and there remains no sacrifice for sin: no flesh shall be justified by the works of the Law.
but whoever is found in Him is released from these things, having been crucified with Him, and walking no longer after the flesh but by the spirit, finds eternal rest and eternal life: which things are Christ, for our life is hidden in Him, wholly separate from those things that had no value to save, and wholly preserved and glorified through His own faithfulness towards us!!!

amen to the Holy King, enthroned forever and ever, who walks among His people!!
what power can stand against Him?
who can lay charge against His elect??
amen forever around the throne!!

can you explain why God says of Ephraim that they will “dwell in tabernacles,
as in the days of the solemn feast” (Hosea 12:9)
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
(2 Corinthians 5:1)

flesh and blood can not inherit this kingdom

a study on the differance between begotten vs born is needed,
mabe you can ask any mother the differance between them.

we are heirs, not yet inherited the promises.

are you not flesh and blood?

we are heirs, not yet inherited the promises.

great and precious promises :)

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

We are now heirs and coheirs with the Lord Jesus Christ as soon as we became children of God. We have all things now in Christ. Just waiting for the reality of some to manifest but they are ours now.

Romans 8:16-17 (NASB)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God,

[SUP]17 [/SUP] and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.
