you have done an 'outstanding job of explaining the (christian) mistaken understanding of 'being born again'.
Being 'begotten or conceived is in no way equal to being born....not in human terms nor in spirit.

I sometimes kinda wish Christians observed Jewish holidays, to some extent. Id like to see what they are like.

I once listened to a Christian radio talk show where they tried to convince Christians that they should not observe Jewish holidays, and the reason was because something something legalism not grace. While I understand the importance of grace, it just didnt seem to have anything to do with these holidays. I cannot remember a verse where we are commanded to celebrate holidays or die. And they didnt use any verses to back up what they were saying so I didnt learn anything from it.

But yeah, anywho, I think it would be way cool to participate in something like that.

Rom 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Rom 14:6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

I suppose that wanting to observe a Jewish holiday, would do no harm,if done in a nostalgia type of way,but it would not have any bearing on our salvation.

I acknowledge the feasts because they all represent Jesus, those that have been fulfilled and those which have not.

It's not a being under the law thing for me. It's like I celebrated the birth of my kids and every year I still do.

I married Tom but once but we still celebrate our anniversary.

It's not a compulsary, I do it because it reminds of Christ who was, is and is to come!!!!
==========================================================

keeping our Lord's Feasts definitely sets us apart and is a sure 'sign' that you are in a
great binding of your spirit with His...:):)

Isn't the first day of the month declared after the moon is sighted after the new moon?

Gen 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

the new moon is the first visible crescent after the conjunction, in ancient times they sighted it in the land of Juda near Jerusalem then would sound a shofar to announce it, the 7th month (tishri) was announced with 2 silver trumpets made of one piece of solid silver, this day is 10 day before day of atonement at-one-ment it being the 10th.

“Being born again …” (i Pet. 1:23).
Being—in process of—not having been—not yet an immortal person
—but being “born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible
(Other translations use the term “begotten.”)
Greek: annagennao—to beget anew (Young).

Peter is here referring to the process having started within us by the
incorruptible Spirit of God—not as our human life was begotten by human
physical sperm. Peter here shows that the Spirit of God is the incorruptible
“seed” that imparted the presence of eternal life within us. Continue:

“by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”

Peter continues, chapter 2: “Wherefore … As newborn babes-…”
(vv. 1-2). Not that we are already-born perfect divine spirit persons
having entered into and inherited God’s Kingdom.

He is comparing the Christian’s spiritual “gestation” period to the growth of
a newborn human physical baby simply because it would be awkward indeed
to compare it to a physical embryo or fetus. He is not saying we are already
born babes in God’s Kingdom—but as—or like newbornnhuman babes.

It is an analogy, which Webster says is a comparison or “likeness between
two things … consisting in the resemblance not of the things themselves,
but of two or more attributes, circumstances or effects.”

Peter is simply showing that, as a newborn human babe must be nourished
and grow physically (even, for that matter, as must the unborn fetus), so

Christians must grow spiritually. Continue: “… desire the sincere milk of
the word” [rsv has, “long for the pure spiritual milk”], that ye may grow thereby”

Paul styled it “unto a perfect man” (Eph. 4:13)—unable to sin. When born again,
we shall not be helpless spirit babes, but spirit beings of perfection unable to sin.

This Christian spiritual growth is in spiritual character and knowledge in this
present human life. As a physical babe must grow physically, so we in the
Christian life must grow in spiritual knowledge and character (see ii Pet. 3:18)
to become perfect, which we shall never attain until born as spirit beings.

—the firstborn of many brethren. That was His second birth,
as the resurrection will be ours!

With this line of thinking - this would make a baby born in the flesh - not really here or a baby yet. Sorry your theory just doesn't stack up to the scripture.

We were born again in 1 Peter 1:23 is in the perfect tense.

Perfect tense means a completed action in the past with the results of that action continuing in the present.

The absolute fact is that we were born of the flesh once and we were born of the Holy Spirit once too when we received Christ.

Thank you prove-all !!!
you have done an 'outstanding job of explaining the (christian) mistaken understanding of 'being born again'.
Being 'begotten or conceived is in no way equal to being born....not in human terms nor in spirit.

Sorry but this theory just doesn't go along with scripture no matter how much you want it to be something else.

We were born once in our flesh and we were born with the Holy Spirit once too...hence the scriptural usage of the term "born-again"...see my posts which prove this out in the Greek words.

The greek word for born again just puts the "ana" ( which means "again" ) in front of "gennao" which is the Greek word for being born - as in being born a baby or being born of the Holy Spirit.

But people can believe whatever they want. We can believe that Daffy Duck and Donald Duck are the 2 witnesses in the book of Revelation too if we want.

and remember, if you don't agree with 777, you must not know jesus.

No...that is not true...nice try to make it "appear" that is true...

What is true is that Judaizers that try to get Christians to go back to the Law of Moses after coming to Christ - that is an anti-Christ belief system and Paul said he didn't stand for this perversion of the gospel for one hour so that the truth of the gospel would remain with them.

I vehemently say this is true. You can quote me truthfully on this count if you want to be honest.

Judaizers tried it on Paul's gentile converts by trying to get them to observe the Law of Moses through circumcision and it's the same thing today for keeping Sabbath days or feast by saying we need to observe them.

Galatians 2:3-5 (NASB)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] But not even Titus, who was with me, though he was a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised.

[SUP]4 [/SUP] But it was because of the false brethren secretly brought in, who had sneaked in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, in order to bring us into bondage.

[SUP]5 [/SUP] But we did not yield in subjection to them for even an hour, so that the truth of the gospel would remain with you.

"polluted" does not mean "failed to keep"
why were the sabbaths polluted?
because: idolatry.
do you really think Israel would have been "fine" with God if they had continued in idolatry sunday through friday, so long as on saturdays they didn't do any manual labor?
you really think that was the issue God had with them?
bizarre, if that's what you're trying to say. just bizarre.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

nope. that is definitely not what it says.
but the scripture says they forgot the Fountain of Living Water, and drank from their own cisterns.

Jeroboam set up two great idols for his people to worship.

He ordered the fall festivals (including the annual sabbaths) to be observed in the
eighth month, at a place in the north of his choosing—instead of in the seventh month,
and at Jerusalem as God ordered (1 Kings 12:28-32).

Through the rule of 19 kings and nine successive dynasties, the 10-tribed house of Israel
continued in the basic twin sins of Jeroboam—idolatry and Sabbath-breaking

Did you happen to read what is said by The Prophet Nehemiah said in Nehemiah 13:15-18 ?
He tells why they had been driven into captive slavery 70 years before:

“In those days saw I in Judah some treading wine presses on the sabbath,
and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and
all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day:

and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals. …
Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them,

What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?

Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us,
and upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath”

(Nehemiah 13:15-18). please continue reading this chapter
Sabbath-breaking was a prime cause of Judah’s captivity!

so How did He plead with them? He pleaded: “Hallow my sabbaths,
instead of your fathers’, so that you may know that I am the Lord.”

It was so important to God that He punished His own chosen people with this
most severe national punishment—defeat in war—being taken from their land,
and made slaves in a foreign land!

Sin is defined by God as the transgression of His law (1 John 3:4). His law says:
“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. … [T]he seventh day is the sabbath
of the Lord thy God.” To work on the Sabbath, to defile it by your own pleasure
-seeking, doing business, etc., was a major sin, punishable by eternal death!

The house of Judah was without excuse. They had been warned by the prophets.
Notice the warning through Jeremiah:

“Thus saith the Eternal; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day
… neither do ye any work, but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers. .

But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden,
even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in
the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched
(Jeremiah 17:21-22, 27).

That was the warning. The house of Judah did not heed it. Now see what happened!

“Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of
Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzar-adan, captain of the guard , which served
the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem,

And burned the house of the Eternal, and the king’s house; and all the houses of Jerusalem,
and all the houses of the great men, burned he with fire” (Jeremiah 52:12-13).

When God warns, the punishment is sure!
-

the kingdom of Israel, 117 years before Judah’s captivity, long before they were
divided into two nations. in A covenent Notice it in Leviticus 26:

“Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image … to bow down unto it: for I am
the Eternal your God. Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary:
I am the Eternal” (verses 1-2).

“IF ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them …”

But, said God , if they refused to obey those commandments, they would suffer
sickness and disease, be invaded, conquered, and driven from their land as
slaves to their enemies’ lands.

Does it make any difference? It certainly made a lot of difference to God!
And He says He has not changed—He is the same yesterday, today, and forever!
(Hebrews 13:8).

Jesus custom was to go to the temple on the Sabbath. He got mad at the [merchents]
selling on the Sabbath, not only did they polute the temple, they where poluting the Sabbath.

With this line of thinking - this would make a baby born in the flesh - not really here or a baby yet. Sorry your theory just doesn't stack up to the scripture.

are you still stuck on that one verse, and have closed your eyes to the others given.

He that overcometh shall [inherit all things]; and I will be his God,
and he shall be my son. Revelation 21:7

what does it mean to [inherit all things] ?

Hebrews chapter 1: “God … Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son,
whom he hath appointed heir of all things [Moffatt and others, the universe],

by whom also he made the worlds; Who, being the brightness of his glory, [Moffatt]
stamped with God’s own character and upholding [sustaining] the universe by the word
of his power …” (Heb. 1:1-3). All power, in heaven and Earth (Matt. 28:18), has been
given to Christ. He is now Chief Executive of God’s government of the universe.

Now begin with Hebrews 2:6; a citation from Psalm 8:4-6:

“What is man, that thou art mindful of him?”
Yes, why should the great God be concerned about us mortals?

Why did He put us here on Earth? What is the purpose of life—what
is our transcendent potential? It is so far above and beyond anything you
have thought or imagined, it seems shockingly incredible to even amange!

verse 7: “Thou madest him a little lower than the angels ….” Some translations
have it,“for a little while lower than the angels.” Continue: “[T]hou crownedst
him [kingship] with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands”
—that is, God’s creation. Continue:

“Thou hast put all things [Moffatt: the universe] in subjection under his feet.
For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him..

“… But now [in this present gestation state] we see not yet all things
[the universe] put under him” (v. 8). But what do we see, now?
“But we see Jesus … crowned with glory and honour …” (v.-9).

“For it became him [Jesus], for whom are all things, and by whom are all things,
in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain [margin: leader—or,
forerunner, pioneer—the One who has gone on before us, as we are to follow]
of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who
are sanctified areall of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren”
(vv. 10-11).

He is the firstborn of many brethren! He has inherited “all things”
We are still heirs—still in the gestation stage of the process of being born
of God. Jesus is now our High Priest, supervising our spiritual development
—preparing us to be kings and priests, reigning with Him!

The first thousand years we shall reign on the Earth. For He shall have
“made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth”
(Rev. 5:10).

For that first thousand years, Jesus is to reign on the throne of His earthly
ancestor David in Jerusalem (Isa. 9:6-7). And, “he that overcometh,
and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power
over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron …”

Jesus said, again, “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with
me in my throne [at Jerusalem], even as I also overcame, and am [now]
set down with my Father in his throne” (Rev. 3:21).

When born of God, we shall be spirit, no longer human flesh and
blood. We shall be given power! As Daniel revealed, the saints then
shall take the kingdoms of Earth’s nations and rule them—for the
first thousand years.

-

After Christ, Rome made this theory that the 1000 year kingdom had started,
but after the 1000 years had past, they come up with the idea that a thousand
years was really just a long period of time, and it was God that was wrong.

I'm not sure what kind of a cult you are into but being born again is a stable Christian truth as seen by 1 Peter 1:23 and other scriptures. All true Christians understand being born of God by the Holy Spirit and word of God.

We are joined to the Lord as one spirit. We have new spirits now because we are in Christ.

Only cults don't believe in being born again now in our spirit - they don't believe in the new birth. It's called the new creation in Christ . 2 Cor 5:17. The new man in Christ is raised from the dead with Jesus after we died on the cross with Him.

What ever nonsense you are trying to get people to fall for - will not work.

Is this one of the strange Hebrew Roots Movement beliefs or did you come up with this on your own?

Every Christian that is in Christ has already been born of God and because of that we overcome by believing in Christ alone - NOT going back to the Law if that is what people are trying to get Christians to do.

How do we overcome? John gives us the answer:

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” (1 Jn 4:4)

Overcoming is not about jumping through hoops and satisfying the expectations of men. It’s about depending on The Overcomer who lives in you.

“For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.” (1 Jn 5:4-5)

Are you born of God? Do you believe Jesus is the Son of God? If yes, then the Overcomer lives in you and you can’t help but be an overcomer.

That’s why Jesus told the disciples to be encouraged during times of tribulation; because he – not they – had overcome the world and because they would carry his overcoming Spirit within them.

We are called to fight the good fight of faith! Believe in what Christ has done and His life will be manifested in every circumstance of our life while on this earth.

so yes we wait until the sec. comming .

the whole creation is waiting for the sons of God to be manifested [or born into]

at that time the whole creation will be delivered from bondage.

When I was a baby I was waiting until I became a man - but I was still born in the flesh first. I was not "never born until I became a man".

I was still born before I was manifested as being a man.

We are born again in the spirit by the Holy Spirit just like so many scriptures say. There is no doubt whatsoever that Christians are born of the Holy Spirit now and they have a new heart now - created in righteousness and holiness.
